   Idk apart of me feels that Kathy might have know something wasn’t kosher. She definitely shifts a lot of blame on Paris, whom was a minor when this all took place, so that’s a cop out. I can see why her relationship seems strained with her parents.

   the same thing happened to me in the UK my parents put me away, i was playing up at home an elderly uncle was abusing me my mother was in the hospital for 2 yrs before that and we were told she was dying 3 times so i guess my head went I was only 12 yrs old and my father was sold the idea of putting me in a lock up facility as a way to fix me by social services I was abused for the next 4 years in that place then and my life spiralled out of control after i was let go on my 16th birthday I had no idea how to cope in a normal world, every adult I'd ever known had let me down big time and the only ppl who helped me were the other girls in that place, I learned to lie and cover my tracks in that place we had to or we wouldn't have survived it and I came out of there mad at the world…correction raging at the world …..I was a drug addict for 25yrs heroin and crack cocaine and it took me many years to come to terms with and make sense of everything that happened to means that little girl but i got clean 15yrs ago and have never looked back I am one of three strongest people I know if not the strongest Paris was right about it making us strong….. but it is why we have to deal with the paedophilia problem in society because the abusers of today create the criminals of tomorrow, I saw so many girls in our prison system and all had an abuse story to tell it costs society dearly paying for doctors and nurses for self-harmers and suicide attempts and prison guards for those who go to prison as I did…. it costs billions and if we'd only deal with it more robustly I am sure we could make a huge difference to the prison population instead of them being constantly full up like they are now…but yes I am 15yrs clean and serene and loving life, thank you God Amen

   If her mom reads her memoir she will know that for all her concerns about predators in the modelling industry, that there were also predators in her Catholic School, and the irony of sending her to treatment centres with predators who lied to her and Rick Hilton. The irony of “not giving it oxygen” only protects the predators in our society.

   Her mom handled that pretty well, but I wish instead of trying to explain herself so much she had just told Paris how proud she is of the woman she's become and for being so strong and telling her story in such a vulnerable way. So many parents want to tell "their side" or explain away mistakes they have made that permanently scarred their child when through it all over so many years and so much trauma all their kid really wants is just to hear they are loved and their parent is proud of them. Alot of people who are fully grown have already forgiven their parent many years ago and the child inside just crave that acceptance and approval.

    I went through this with my son. They beat him electrocuted him. Cut his body. Poked him in the eyes. Their were numerous children beaten and abused. There were court cases. These monsters got away with it. I hate it that we sent him there. It destroyed our lives. I 🙏 that Paris makes progress with this. Never ever send your child to these schools!

    I think Kathy cares and she seems to have had the best interest in mind to save her daughter before she turned 18 and couldn't..She was aware of having a short time before Paris was legally an adult and could do whatever she wanted. It's hard to understand why because she comes from wealth and her family are famous socialites. Paris probably could get people to do what she says and take her where she wants by fear of her Hilton name. The only way Kathy could stop this was by kidnapping her and taking her to this place which I am sure she researched before allowing this to happen. She is on television and being watched I am sure is why she did not break down and apologise. I bet when they are alone she tells her how sorry she was …or maybe not?

    That her mom & dad actually sat down and though of agreeing to "the plan" to have her kidnapped in their home in the middle of the night by absolute strangers, would really help turn their teenage daughter around is just disgusting. I don't care what kind of hotel "empire" they had, what they did was completely unconscionable.

    Save her!!! From what?? She was a rich teen having fun not in the street corner selling her pu$$. Plus they should've discussed this abuse period along time ago when she just came back home from that prison cell. That just shows you that they didn't even bother to care about how she felt.

    I don't think that her parents realize that being so strict not allowing them to hang out with friends go to school dances or any functions probably caused her to become very rebellious and do the things that she did as a teenager. If they would have let her just be herself and be a kid and hang out with friends while still following normal simple rules, she may not have went down this path. It's just really sad!

    Kathy is one hec of a mommy dearest.. she knew you cant tell me she didnt…. kathy seems so uncaring to me about Paris and is more caring about the wedding and the Hilton name.. where's the father.. don't care either.. jezzz I think it's heartless what the parents did

    If you have to pay someone to abduct your child in the middle of the night. That should be a HUGE RED FLAG. As far as these schools, most parents absolutely did NOT know what was going on… otherwise that would make them monsters. Kathy and her husb did the best they knew how, for a child that was spinning out of control, and also researched the school. The spotlight on these "schools" only became public knowledge in the past 20 yrs…before that it was the institutions for the mentally ill…

    I don't think that Kathy takes any responsibility for the things that happened to Paris. I feel like she is making excuses for it not being hers or Rick's fault. She is acting like it was a difficult experience for Paris but didn't acknowledge her part in the circumstances that led to them sending her to those places.

    What’s weird is my mom sent me away to a program in Utah as well, her name is Cathy as well and also reacts in such a similar fashion to not taking full responsibility and has said some of the exact same things word for word about just trying to save me. I think these programs brainwashed a lot of our parents, and said the same things to them to keep us there.

    I don't think Paris got the emotional apology form her parents that she deserves after going through so much trauma and terror in her past. She felt completely alone, rejected and abandoned by everyone and the mum seems to be more concerned with her own shame and guilt than how much Paris has suffered in the hidden. Cathy needs to break her defense armor and apologize and take responsibility "we were so ashamed we wouldn't be accepted by the whole elite community and we did a mistake that you didn't deserve and what can we do to make you feel better or to make you feel the love and acceptance you didn't receive in those hard for you times". Wish them all the best and I know they are both working very hard to find the healing they deserve.

    Stop making it about yourself and justifying your actions! No, you didn’t know, but now you do so be there for your daughter and support her! Hear her out! Stop making her have to make you feel better. She’s been doing that for years. How about you try making her feel better? Or at least seen and heard?
    You DON’T know how she feels because you haven’t gone through it. Watching her documentary was the bare assed least you could do for her 🫠
