The race to develop artificial intelligence is in dire need of a slowdown, Anthropic’s chief executive Dario Amodei said in an essay posted early Saturday.
“We must slow the pace at which we improve the capabilities of AI models. Progress will still seem fast, and we must make wise use of the time we gain,” Amodei wrote in the 3,800-word post to his website.

Here is an idea that would be a win-win for all! Have the USA supply a hospital ship to care for the wounded in Gaza. Have the wealthy Islamic States hire as many 🛳️ Cruise ships with capacity of 4000 ( that could be expanded for more – using the personal areas,) as a safe haven for children and their mothers to live — with an area where they could continue with their schooling, meals and a play area! – of course!!! In exchange, Hamas would need to free ALL its hostages! We will also get to see what their true colors are if they don’t!? Let only the soldiers fight it out — keep all civilian “human shields” out of it!!! ! As A Jew I do support the need of putting an final end to the brutal Hamas and their co-Jijadist that have consistently stated that their goal is to “exterminate all Jews.” — we will not let that happen – it is their end – not ours!
