This is one of the countless reasons I avoid highways today.
Everyone is going 90+ mph, swerving in and out of lanes, tailgating, etc..
It's one of many situations which proves the decline of this pathetic, ignorant society.

2 weeks ago I narrowly missed a full-sized LADDER that was laying in the center lane of an 80-mph highway!! Scared me half to death! I’m glad that I was paying attention and had enough time & space to dodge around it, but the 18-wheeler truck behind me blasted the ladder because they didn’t have time to react. I reported it to the police so they could go fetch the ladder out of the road.

She had a Guardian Angel. Similar thing happened to my cousin and coworker in a car accident. They were only inches from being impaled/ crushed by a highway pole.
