Joe Biden explains US troops withdrawal from Afghanistan | Full speech
President Joe Biden formally announced his decision to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan before September 11, the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon that led the US into its longest war.
“We cannot continue the cycle of extending or expanding our military presence in Afghanistan hoping to create the ideal conditions for our withdrawal, expecting a different result,” Biden said.
“I am now the fourth American president to preside over an American troop presence in Afghanistan. Two Republicans. Two Democrats,” he added. “I will not pass this responsibility to a fifth.”
In a sign he views his remarks as a historic bookend to the prolonged conflict, he delivered them from precisely the same spot in the White House Treaty Room that President George W. Bush announced the start of the war on October 7, 2001. Afterward he’ll visit the section of Arlington National Cemetery where many of America’s war dead from Afghanistan are buried.

Spain migrants work in 110°F greenhouses amid anti-migrant sentiment
The images of thousands of people storming the borders of the Spanish exclave of Ceuta sent chills down the spine of many in Spain and across Europe who have tried to walk the fine line between the need for migrant workers and the rising anti-immigration sentiment echoed by radical right parties all over the continent.
As CNN’s Jomana found out, there are few places where that paradox plays out as vividly as it does in Spain’s province of Almería, Europe’s vegetable garden, which is fuelled in great part by migrant-labour.

God bless President Biden for bringing our troops home! Many a years ago, they were sent by some other U.S. politicians to the Middle East to eliminate a couple of terrorists, which they did (back in 2001). Twenty years later, everyone had forgot all about them. Everybody but one man! In 2021, Old Man Biden suddenly remembered about our troops, who had by then been aimlessly wandering the blazing deserts of the Middle East for 20 years—and good old President Biden finally brought them back home!

And just a short 4 months later August 24 2021.
Tens of thousands of US citizens remain in Afghanistan at the mercy of the taliban
Biden has
Closed airbases including the massive Bagram air base leaving behind billions of dollars of military hardware.
Withdrawn 2,500 troops stationed in Afghanistan and closed the US embassy.
But in the biggest oopsy the world has ever seen, forgot about evacuating the civilians.
In the last week 6,000 troops have returned but will not leave the precincts of Kabul airport .
He has denied responsibility for this and continues to blame everyone else.

"We didn't go to Afghanistan to form a nation." US President Joe Biden used this phrase as one of the justifications for withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan at a time when the country was still far from consolidating a democratic regime and was still under threat of a return by the Taliban.
Afghanistan: Was US withdrawal Biden's worst decision?
SANDRA COHEN: Afghanistan returns to its darkest days
Shortly after the beginning of the US military's departure from the country, which would be completed by August 31, fighters from the fundamentalist group advanced throughout the territory and took the capital, Kabul, on Sunday (15).
The Taliban's return comes in the same year as the 20th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington on September 11, 2001. The attacks were orchestrated by Osama Bin Laden, leader of the network Al-Qaeda. Bin Laden at the time received support and asylum from the Taliban who ruled Afghanistan.
In response, the US and allies launched the Afghan War and removed the Taliban from power.
Almost 20 years later, everything seems to return to the starting point, with the fundamentalist group back in command, women fearing for their lives and their rights, and anti-Islamic civilians crowding Kabul's international airport, trying to flee the country.

What is the reason for the conflict in Afghanistan?
The Taliban originated after the Afghan-Soviet War, which took place from 1979 to 1989. In this conflict, the Soviet Union and the government of Afghanistan, with a Marxist orientation and which had come to power with a coup d'état in 1978, faced militias linked to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia

Why did the United States leave Afghanistan?
Another Biden argument for withdrawing American troops from Afghanistan is the need to comply with the agreement signed by the government of former President Dinald Trump with the Taliban. … In justifying the decision, Biden declared in July that the agreement signed by the former US president prevented the deaths of American soldiers.

So today the US is fleeing from Afghanistan because this President of Vice failed to plan and consequently planned the failed exit. Trump would have had the logistics down pat with Afghanistan allies safely removed to the US. This would be possible as the southern wall would have been secured and immigration could deal with this overflow.
