OpenAI found additional incidents of AI models acting deceptively and taking unsanctioned actions during training, the company announced Wednesday. It’s also introducing a new process for the company to publicly report such instances.
Under the new system, OpenAI will share updates on concerning AI behavior more frequently instead of waiting to bundle multiple instances into one report. The company said it wants to share more information about troubling AI behavior in the absence of an industry-wide standard.

The race to develop artificial intelligence is in dire need of a slowdown, Anthropic’s chief executive Dario Amodei said in an essay posted early Saturday.
“We must slow the pace at which we improve the capabilities of AI models. Progress will still seem fast, and we must make wise use of the time we gain,” Amodei wrote in the 3,800-word post to his website.

"RECORD, RECORD, RECORD…" it unbelievable how they work as hard as they can to scare the hell out of you and push climate trash. Im a life time Floridian who started with Andrew and all others after. Yes, they are devistating but you do recover. Weather patterns change ALL THE TIME and will continue to do so. Stay safe and be smart.

then when it's over the repairs will be done in the same crappy way .
build a cement house on tall concrete posts , install storm shutters and a super reinforced roof and you can comfortably ride it out . yes it cost more upfront than a traditional stick built house , but you will only have to do it once .
