I am so sorry to hear this. I am planning a vacation in that area and was planning to go parasailing. Now I have to rethink family activities. What is the name of the company? I see a few companies offer water activities that we may have to consider or not consider.

why didn't they just Anchor that way at least the parasail would be held in one spot until the wind came down, or why wasn't there a motorised tow line/winch that would pull them in?

The boat staff should,be required to renew that parasailing license regularly with a practical test. The minimum requirements for the boat size and motor horse power should be large enough to securely hold the parachute even in high winds. Is there a good reason why those things are not already in the licensing policy?

Almost all of Russia’s 83 regions are seeing gasoline shortages or reported disruptions to supply, according to a CNN analysis, with many gas stations imposing rationing as the Russian government races to get ahead of a ferocious campaign of Ukrainian drone attacks targeting its refineries.

The fuel crisis, which escalated first in Russian-controlled Crimea and prompted a state of emergency and a full ban on fuel sales to ordinary people on June 21, is now reaching across Russia’s 11 time zones.

CNN’s Clare Sebastian details the frustration at the pump in Russia, and CNN’s Kristie Lu Stout with the head of Chatham House Ukraine Forum, Orysia Lutsevych, about the possible decay of Russia’s energy superpower status.

Also, CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten looks at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s approval among Russian citizens and sagging public support of President Trump’s ability to handle the Ukraine war.
