Masimo has FDA approval for their O2 sats patent on their 10 year old devices. Apple simply stole their workers, took their product, put it on the apple watch without asking. Im getting a garmin watch to replace my old apple watch.

I’m not gonna lied, The Apple Watch is really much better than Masimo.

Why all the hype. It's a device that will be buried in trash in five years like the other 33 iterations of their phone.
@Vanguardclass
January 7, 2024 at 9:47 am
Bruh 4:41 How is the fact that Masimo’s patent being infringed in the past and hence got settlements on the same ..a defense to patent infringement?😂 and he is talking about “this is complex” ..come on man ..
@hummersd
January 7, 2024 at 9:47 am
All good points they're bringing up, especially the one about Masimo using patent lawsuits as a source of revenue, as well as the fact that Apple is suing Masimo for their new Watches. The other thing to remember is that the blood oxygen feature is only one health feature of modern Apple Watches — starting with Series 6, and it's now on Series 9. There are numerous other features such as heart rate, ECG, workouts, etc. so in the end, if Apple loses the final patent lawsuit (remember, this ITC ruling is not the overall patent lawsuit, it was another way for Masimo to fight back since the judicial system takes a long time), they can easily market other features and US customers lose out on this one, older, feature. Not the end of Apple Watch or Apple.

apple at 2.7 trillion of worth can easily afford to settle, buy the patent or even pay as a super pac to the president to veto.
heck tim cook can afford a solid rhodium misoger the deluxe model complete with 4 heads so it can be used to misoge 2 people at the same time and self cleaning.
