As beach season hits high gear this holiday weekend, some people in North Carolina are calling for beach closures amid a surge in shark attacks over the past month.

There have been 11 shark attacks off the shores of the Carolinas this year, most in just the last three weeks.

On Wednesday, a 68-year-old man was bitten by a shark off the coast of Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. The victim, identified by the hospital as Andrew Costello, was bitten on his left side in his lower leg and hip and on both his hands, Hyde County EMS Director Justin Gibbs told ABC News.

ABC is digging here. By going out to the location of a shark "attack", flying in a helicopter, and "searching" with the Sherriff's Office on a boat, they push the rhetoric that sharks are dangerous animals, out to attack people. Sharks are seriously misunderstood creatures. They become confused when encountered with swimmers, they are naturally curious, and they feel out things with their mouths. If the shark that bit these people wanted to eat them, there would be nothing left but floating body parts.

What ABC is doing here, is what they always do, they are using click-bait and well placed scare-phrases to create shock-value to their content. For example, "Authorized to shoot them", makes you think that sharks are so dangerous, that the police are willing to shoot them from boats. All of the information regarding the sharks in this segment, is unconfirmed. If you listen to the wording, no one at the time could confirm what type of shark it was, if it was the same shark that bit all three people, or what the behavior of the shark was like. He threw out, "probably a bull shark", the only unreasonably aggressive shark that an average person could bring to mind.

They paid for Matt Gutman and his crew to fly out to N.C., stay in a hotel, get a rental car, use their company cards for food, had them schedule appointments with the local sheriff's office and fire department, and they had nothing to report. There is no news here. "Three People Were Bitten By Animals While They Were Swimming In Their Habitat" should have been the headline, and it shouldn't have been deemed international worthy.

Way to go ABC news, once again instilling confidence in the American people to rely on you for what you call "News".

Hello, i'm marcelo Pear and I'm from Rio Brazil. Let me testify before the public about a great herbal medicine doctor name dr wise of africa who helped me with my own illness. I had HIV / AIDS for over 5 years and I was almost going to the end of my life because of the appearance of my skin. All I have in my head is to give up because life does not interest me anymore. One night, my sister told me she had found a doctor on the internet who could cure HIV / AIDS. It did not interest me because I did not believe it. She helped me with everything the doctor asked for, filled out the treatment form for me and even used her own money to get the medicine for me. During a week of using the drug, I started to get stronger, my blood began to flow normally 4 to 7 days later, I started to gain weight, before the 2rd week, my body started to develop, my skin began to grow. After a month, I was tested for HIV and tested negative. I am so happy to be able to say that I am no longer a patient with HIV / AIDS. If you have HIV / AIDS, hepatitis, herpes or HPV, coronary heart disease or any other illness, please contact Dr. WISE. His phone +2349063191711 and his Whatsapp number is: +2349063191711. I wish you good luck, God bless you all. You can also phone +2349063191711

My name is Bianca Ngwanya from South Africa. I will love to tell everybody on this blog how my status changed from hiv positive to negative, and i am now a living witness of it. HIV has been on going in my family. I lost both parents to hiv, and i have not been able to get over the pain. As we all know, medically there is no solution to hiv. Few months ago, someone introduced me to a native medical practitioner online called DR.WISE. I showed him all my tests and results. I was already diagnosed with hiv and it was already taking its toll on me. I had spent thousands of rands on other medicines before, but yet i decided to try him out. i was on his dosage for 21 days. Although i didn't believe in it, i was just trying it out of frustration. After the 21 days, i went for new tests. And you won't believe that 5 different laboratory results have confirmed it that i am negative. It was like a dream, i never believe HIV has a cure.  I just want to help others in anyway i can, i have included DR.WISE's Whatsapp number and email at the end of this message. I have joined many forums and i have posted this testimonies and a lot of people have contacted DR.WISE through me and they were also negative after using his medicine. BBC news even published it live that DR.WISE can cure even Hepatitis, Coronary artery, Cancer,  Herpes, HPV, Asthma, Diabetes and many others. Everybody saw it and it is now out in some papers and magazines.

350K+ face risk of deportation after Trump’s Supreme Court win

Published

By

Until Thursday morning, hundreds of thousands of Haitians were legally living and working in the United States, along with thousands of Syrians. Now, their work permits are set to expire and their deportation protections will be terminated, throwing them in legal limbo.

The abrupt change in fate stems from the Supreme Court decision which found that the Department of Homeland Security had broad discretion in determining when to extend or terminate a form of humanitarian relief known as Temporary Protected Status.

Emergency responders took Sen. Mitch McConnell to an ambulance on a stretcher after being called to his home last month for a report of an unconscious person, according to new video of the incident and an eyewitness account.
