Leaving viewers and the media world shell shocked, anchor Shep Smith signed off from his last show, announcing he was stepping down from the network. In his last goodbye, Smith claimed ‘the facts will win the day’ reassuring his audience ‘journalism and journalist will thrive.’ This comes as President Trump has raised recent criticism of the network, long known for their support of President Trump and his political messages, as anchors and experts on the network have called for his impeachment. Sen. Murphy: Proposed Relief Bill ‘Could Get Us Through What Could Be A Very Hard And Deadly Winter’
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss the proposal of a $908 billion COVID relief bill by a bipartisan group of senators as 14 million Americans could lose unemployment aid by the end of December. Sen. Murphy says, “This amount of money could get us through what could be a very hard and deadly winter. This isn’t big enough to be able to get us to the point where the entire country is vaccinated. But it might be enough to make sure that millions of Americans don’t go hungry, don’t starve, don’t die out on the streets this winter when their jobless benefits expire and when protections for evictions expire.” Aired on 12/01/2020.

The New York Times editorial board is out with a new series tracking 12 categories of democratic erosion in the United States, highlighting the “worrisome steps” it says President Trump has taken toward undermining American democracy. Measuring on a scale from zero to 10 — with zero representing a strong, though imperfect, democracy and 10 representing a true autocracy — the board has moved one category, “manipulating the law to stay in power,” up to Level 3. Parents are giving up green card fights to get their kids out of immigrant jail: Marshall Project
In 2013, Ana Kikabidze was selected to receive a U.S. green card. When unforeseen circumstances hit she had to move back to her home country. When she came back to the U.S. in May with her children, the family was arrested and sent to the controversial detention center in Dilley, Texas. The level of strength of Character, measured by the amount of personal loss. A career of over two decades, which included his heart and soul. His reputation, respected by EVERYONE. Achieving a worth of $15 Million dollars a year paycheck (And there must be more). All of that, more, and STILL, within one President's term… This Journalist…just Walks Away… A sacrifice at THIS level of personal loss…IS SO FAR ABOVE ANY OF HIS PEERS, ANYONE READING THIS, setting a new benchmark for Respect. A LEADER OF MEN, OF NATIONS. Where even a Nobel, a Pulitzer, fails and falls short. I hope He recognizes the lesson, and affect, his example is now having on a Nation. A Generation. On Me, as I sit here. Perhaps nothing but the affect his action will now have on our entire Nation of young, impressionable minds, the entire Generation, and the next, and the next, the lesson and example set for his own Family…WHAT A THING TO DO!…could possible hope to pay This Great Man back. All of Us Changed, My own post right here, a tiny examp, of that Affect. I Salute This Man among us all.
