Laura Jarrett: Recent SCOTUS decisions show ‘a court that is deeply divided’
The Supreme Court handed down two of its most anticipated decisions of this term, rejecting President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan and siding with a web designer who does not want to work with same-sex couples. NBC News Senior Legal Correspondent Laura Jarrett, Mount Holyoke President Elect Danielle Holley, Assistant Professor at the George Mason School of Law Jennifer Mascott, University of Michigan Law Professor Barbara McQuade, and Jen Psaki, host of MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki,” join Andrea Mitchell to break down the decisions. Jarrett says these decisions, alongside the affirmative action decision, show “a court that is deeply divided with dramatically different worldviews about discrimination, about the rights of disenfranchised minorities, and what to do about that.”

Blanche REFUSES to rule out post-election action by DOJ, could BLOCK election certification
Attorney General Todd Blanche is leaving open the possibility that the Justice Department could block states from certifying votes in the midterm elections. Blanche warned reporters Thursday of a hypothetical “doomsday scenario” in which the DOJ could block the certification of votes. But he added that it was not the Justice Department’s intention to interfere with the elections. Blanche said earlier this month that the DOJ plans to send 1,000 election monitors to polling places in every state on Election Day. Fallon Gallagher, legal affairs reporter for MS NOW, joins Way Too Early with analysis.

Student loans were 100% dischargeable until 1978. Then Senator Biden voted to make student loans non-dischargeable. Just change the law to allow people to discharge like medical or credit card debt. That is the right solution.

Scalia had died suspicously on one of these paid trips to Texas; According to the Washington Post, the other 35 guests were “high-ranking members of an exclusive fraternity for hunters called the International Order of St. Hubertus, an Austrian society that dates back to the 1600s.” want their names?

Neil Gorsuch was confirmed (sometimes considered a sixth Catholic justice having been raised as a Catholic, but reportedly now attending Episcopal services.)
Kavanaugh had 4500 tips called in on him, the FBI investigated none of them!
Amy Coney Barrett; People of Praise, a self-described "charismatic Christian community" that encompasses a variety of churches, includes Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians and Methodists. It was founded in 1971 in South Bend, Indiana, by Kevin Ranaghan and has since drawn about 1,700 members, with a presence in 22 cities across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. "Our covenant is neither an oath nor a vow, but it is an important personal commitment," the group says. "We teach that People of Praise members should always follow their consciences, as formed by the light of reason, and by the experience and the teachings of their churches."

Council for National Policy was founded in 1981, at the dawn of the Christian right and the beginning of the Reagan era. And it really represents what Jerry Falwell, an early founding member, called the big guns of the Christian right, who set the battle lines; 300 people who really comprise the entire leadership of the Christian right, and the conservative movement in general. These people kind of call themselves ‘grasstops’ leaders. You know, they kind of shepherd the Republican grassroots to the polls on Election Day. But they also kind of decide what the wedge issues are going to be and what the narrative is for the party. They have anointed the past two Republican presidents; Donald Trump back in 2015, and George W. Bush back in 1999, when they were just emerging as the figures that the Christian right would back. They also helped make Sarah Palin John McCain’s vice presidential pick
Just days before she resigned as UN Ambassador, Nikki Haley delivered a private speech to the Council for National Policy, a secretive group of influential right-wing figures. Journalist Max Blumenthal obtained exclusive access and reveals shocking details — including Haley’s admission that she threatened the Chinese ambassador with a US invasion of North Korea.
"And I went to the Westin Hotel in Charlotte, and walked into the auditorium, or this giant ballroom. Ginni Thomas, the wife of Clarence Thomas, walked by me. Frank Gaffney, you know, the kind of foreign policy hawk who inspired Donald Trump’s Muslim ban brushed shoulders and sat sat nearby. And I was surrounded by basically the vast right-wing conspiracy, about 300 people settling into their chairs to hear Nikki Haley speak at noon.
They hold these meetings three times a year, in secrecy. The location of the meeting is not told to anyone who isn’t a member of the group. The membership rolls aren’t provided outside of the membership’s inner circle. And these are closed door meetings, press is not allowed"
{Documented Has Obtained a New Council for National Policy Membership List
CNP members range from the leaders of the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society, to the Southern Poverty Law Center designated anti-LGBTQ hate groups Family Research Council and Alliance Defending Freedom. The heads of major foundations on the right, including those of Donors Trust and the Bradley Foundation, are also members.
The list appears to be dated January 2022, includes former Vice President Mike Pence and other new CNP members…}

January 8, 2024 at 9:59 am
A Supreme Court that is bigoted. Stunning hypocrisy. Their rulings surely are not a fait accompli. If you treat them as such, you have a problem in America. You already have a problem because you have Thomas, Coney-Barrett voting against the very thing that gave them access to being on the SC. You have Coney-Barrett and Kavanaugh who ought not be there; they acquired their positions through manipulative means; they both lied, as did the others, in their confirmation hearings in Congress just recently so they must be removed. Kavanaugh has still not been fully investigated by the FBI.

It's a corrupt Supreme Court ,! They are not not making decisions based on laws or the constitution they are making there own laws that suits there priorities and what they believe ! So why even have a Supreme Court it doesn't serve the majority of the people only the people that write the big checks and gives big gifts .

Recent SCOTUS decisions reveal justices Roberts, Kavanaugh, Barrett, Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch are politically biased, and corrupt. Their actions prove they think they are omnipotent super-legislators not bound by the constitution, not justices of the SCOTUS. Significant changes are required to restore the constitutionally prescribed separation of powers/rule-of-law, legitimacy and honor of the SCOTUS.
At minimum Kavanaugh and Barrett are wholly illegitimate and should be removed. Thomas and Alito should be removed for judicial misconduct (refusing to recuse themselves from cases they had vested interests) and ethical transgressions.
