One thing I give this guy John Shea. He was part of the life and did his time like a man. Serving 12 years. Never taking a step back and not becoming an informant. He changed his life and got a second chance.

Its not the simple case of whether he was an informant killer or not. Its the fact, the way in which the state deliberately took him out of witness protection, knowingly placed him amongst the general population as a frail eighty nine year old man in a wheelchair to be brutally murdered, merely to tie up a loose end. If they are capable of doing that to him, then they're capable of doing that to anybody.
