The difference in character between 2016 and 2020 Joe. It's like 2016 Joe was an actual person. He was a millimeter away from outright saying he supports Bernie. Nowadays he's returned to his neoliberal ways. The only reason I can surmise the change is because 2016 he was free and was probably planning on retiring. In 2020 he's got corporate backing and he was trying to beat Bernie himself.

The interviewer struggles to accept the entirely positive analyze of Sanders by Biden. Biden explains that Sanders is rightly addressing the most important issues of our times and therefore is the most inspiring and authentic candidate… If you watch and listen closely, she interrupts him several times while he is explaining why Sanders is a more convincing candidate to beat Trump
