   I believe Professor Lawrence Tribe said that President Biden doesn't have to ask permission to raise the debt ceiling it's in the 16th amendment of the constitution. Am I wrong? Or have I misunderstood?

   Why can't congress just say it like it is. We need people to go back to work now after 3 years of living off of government benefits. In order for US to survive you need to work and pay into the system so America can pay its bills, and quit holding your hands out for more free money..

   The national debt increased by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump's time in office. During that time the republicans had no problem raising the debt limit three times. Now they don't want to pay for the tax cuts they gave to the rich. These republicans need to be voted out.

The peasants are not going to pay for the republicans tax cuts for the wealthiest people and corporate America 97% of 3+ trillion and the 5+ trillion of extra spending that went to the wealthiest people and corporate America. Republicans the largest debt give a way in history 8 trillion in just 4 years. Republicans will use extortion by shutting the government down and try to jam this scam down the middle and poor classes throat. It's Joe Biden in 2024 by far better than any republican by far no matter what dirty tricks the republicans do. Dig deeper republicans.

    What are we really looking at here?
    The roots of Federal Law are based in the democratic voting process that is realized in an American Representative model born out by a republic of States that vote for US Senators and Congressional members in the US House of Representatives and finally the President and Vice President of the United States.
    Under our American system of representation, there is a specific Constitutional process for passing bills; furthermore, the same for repealing Laws passed in our revered Constitutional process.
    Particularly, it takes both sides of Congress to pass bills and, by the same, repeal Laws; which have to be signed by the President of the United States.
    The strength and  balance of our system relies on a process of passing bills and repealing Laws at its core, which is based on voters' choices of representation across both chambers and the voters' choice of President.
    History has provided us with examples of societies that are not true to democratic processes. Instead, rely on maneuvers that undermine core democratic principles.
    Bad faith maneuvering, and the will to subvert the Constitutional process with tactics that act as forced bypasses; of creating or repealing Laws under our Constitution. Maneuvers formed to attack what it really means to be a Free society, a democracy.  Working outside our Constitutional Representative process that bare out our rights and freedoms should not be taken lightly. Effectively jumping out the Constitutional process is not clever, it is a decisive turn in the reality of the American Democracy. Rights and Freedoms are built on a specific Structure that is plainly declared by the United States Constitution. It is simply clear; allowing bad faith maneuvering to dislodge our Constitutional process by undemocratic leverage; that makes or repeals law without voter represented thresholds across government;  openly and plainly written into the Constitution; speaks to the reality of American Rights and Freedoms and the current fact of whether they exist.
    American Constitutinal principles are forged to preserve the balance of freedoms and rights of individual American citizens, the American people and society over all.
    This is observed in the passage of laws in our country.
    The unique, respected and powerful Constitutional process which guides how Law is implemented or repealed in the United States of America underpins our basic Rights and Freedoms.
    This is our core agreement as a nation to observe our democratic values.

    I find it interesting how not 1 proposal is to roll back massive tax cuts for corporate America, and the billionaires that pay hardly anything to this country, yet is allowed to profit and to be more profitable than ever, without paying it back or even contribute to our society….

    Schumer would like to thank McCarthy for the free toilet paper since his Freedom Caucus wishlist will never get a vote on the Senate floor, lol. the guy went to all this trouble just to waste everyone's time. Schumer and Biden know he has no leverage because eventually, his donors who do not want to lose their money will force him to make a deal so they just need to wait him out, and Jefferies will put pressure on Republicans who narrowly won their seats to vote with Democrats to get a bill passed that Schumer will allow to get a vote.

    Cut Food Stamps from 275,000 to 900,000 people.
    
    Cast 600,000 people off on Medicare.
    
    Cause 780,000 fewer jobs over the next decade.
    
    Cut 80,000 jobs from the V.A. Heath System
    
    Cut Section 8 Housing from 1.1 million people.
    
    Cut Pell Grants and Block student loan forgiveness programs
    
    Cut early Childhood education programs.
    
    Cut green energy tax credits.
    
    Reduced rail safety inspection by 7500
    
    Shut down 375 air- traffic control towers

    Democrats in the Senate will not accept Sen McCarthy's ridiculous spending plan. Republicans are doomed!

    Since Republicons have 21 out of the bottom 25 states for financially leeching the most from the federal govenremont which in several Republicon states leech up to 98% of their entire economy. I say we cut these welfare states that have never been able to pay for themselves and have them pay back every penny that they have leeched as well as Trumps 12.2 trillion in debt (lets not forget Bush's 17.8 trillion debt) and for causing every recession for the last 43 years. Even if they loose everything they own and have to be sent to prison for fraud and their states gets dissolved into the state that has been paying their bill.
