   I think choice is key. I would prefer the 5 day week I have now with 2 days WFH, than moving to 4 days a week back in an office.

   I work in a distribution center and part of the plant switched to a 4-10 shift, it's been a disaster, and everyone want their 8 hour days back.

   With an 8 hour day, you still have flexibility to get some things done before and after work. On 10 hour days, you’ll end up squandering the third day off doing everything you couldn’t do the 4 working days. And be exhausted to boot. And you vastly overvalue yourself if you think you deserve 40 hour pay at 32 hours of work.

    With all of these advancements in technology, there shouldn’t be a reason to work long hours. Yes, there are jobs that require it, but a lot don’t.

    If I can do all my work in 3/4 days. Then why does it matter?
    Oh I know. Some Companies don’t want you to be free to do your own thing. They want you to “feel” like you have to be at work and only think of work.
    Not spending it with family, and time for yourself.

    Will never happen. The higher ups of "America" need your money so they can live nice and comfy. Your mental health and family are nothing but an inconvenience to them. If anything we'll be working six days a week. Energy creates energy and that stage 4 cancer you have is also an inconvenience so you need to just shut up and get to work so you can make that paycheck that doesn't pay any bills at all. If youre hungry drink some dirty water to fill in the empty space of your stomach. Chop chop get to work

    you know what the difference is .. the chick-fil-a people like their job .. did you see how the boss looked like he genuinely cared ! of course that behind the desk job trail wasn’t gonna get results i bet they came into a office that was toxic and a 3 day weekend can’t help that !

    Let's normalize being human again!! ENERGY IS IMPORTANT! BEING DRAINED ,NEGATIVE LEADS TO HEALTH ISSUES , DEPRESSION AND MASS SHOOTINGS IN THE WORKPLACE ! A 4 Day work week 8 HOUR is ALL WE NEED! ..ARE MENTAL IS IMPORTANT AND SHOULD COME FIRST AS A SOCIETY !!

    If amazon was able to stop ppl frm Sharing there password and not scared to loose customers we shouldn't either with this 4 day week ppl have to get over themselves.. atleast make 5 day week optional

    That example who said that the 4day week didn't work when they allowed their employees to choose just showed what poor planning their company had. They set up an incredibly chaotic situation for their employees, and then had a surprise Pikachu face when it didn't work. Management needs to ensure that there is cover and sufficient overlap, not employees. If you want to give some variation of days, have it by departments, or by teams, but giving individual choice to everyone will leave all the extra organization on employees, it's extra work to deal with it, and then on top of it management just acts like 4 day weeks can't work when they just implemented it stupidly.

    I work with adults with autism for a non profit. 4 day work week is not in the cards. I could easily work 80 hours a week- worker shortage

    Here is the issue I have with it…yes I work 3 days a week 12 hour shift paid for 40. These office folks acting like this is a "new" thing and boasting about "working from home" and all the things that ONLY office people can do while being paid a stupidly overpriced amount of money…how about yall look at VITAL jobs like farming trucking first responders and anyone in healthcare…and giving them any light? it's always "whaaa the office people"

    While I would love this for us workers, I think there would be unintended consequences. 5 days of pay for 4 days of work is not an equitable exchange. Companies will just limit avaliability of goods and services, and raise prices. Then we'd have a whole other problem…

    Here is my 2 cents in this debate. I am a Registered Nurse here in CA. When i started, full time was 5 8 hr shifts / week. After a few years, we voted to make it 3 12 hr shifts / week. Both have advantages and disadvantages. 8 hrs is shorter but more days. 12 hrs is a long day but it is only 3 days. We get to choose our days.

    Kaiser Permanente pays their nurses 20-30$ more than us. But their schedule is set. They also work the 8 hr shifts.

    Have i been tempted to try their way? Heck yeah. But have I actually made the jump? No. The 3 days 12 hr shifts and the ability to pick my days would trump any decision to go over the fence. I have 2 kids and a husband who also works and among us 4, my schedule is the easiest to maneuver when it is time to make plans for either a short or long vacation. This was tested when I had my 2nd child and did bot want to put her in day care as the first one. There was a lot of guilt associated with it. So I told my manager, i can only do part time and only weekends. It worked.

    i like this idea for me what would be perfect is 6 hour days with no lunch 5 days out of the week leading to at least 30 hours if not 32 hours because of the odd thing hear or there. having worked that before i can tell you if it gives you enough money you feel like you still have the hole day to party. its like o i have a life to live. on the other hand you have 40-80 hours a week and its like where did the past 10 years go over night. like this idea a lot.
