   You can do both (if you want). Don't go to an expensive college, and go to trade school first.

   College is about gaining the foundation knowledge of your field.I would say if you have free ride or scholarships I would say take that route.And you move up quicker with a company with a degree then someone without one unless they have the more experience

   The for-profit trade schools are a big rip-off in my opinion and your chances of getting a job are not good. You’re better off going to a junior college program that offers certificate and associate degree programs.

   As the skills gap increases these jobs will pay more. I know of plumbers in Dallas charging $300 per hour for services because there’s little or no competition and thus owning a larger market share of work, and because there aren’t enough licensed employees or apprentices with whom they can share the workload.

    Technical Colleges are really good because they target a certain trade and teach the knowledge needed to be a certified professional at doing a specific type of trade. Ofcourse it takes the person that has went to a Tech./trade school to have book smarts and hands skills to be good at the trade they went to a technical college to learn a get a job doing.

    my dad was 20 when i was born and he has been a plumber his whole life and he was able to afford a 600k house and and a nice suv and work truck, trips to nice places every year, and so much things, My mom didn’t even have to work to help pay the bills. it’s amazing how a 20 year old could afford all of that and how he gave me and my brothers a good childhood.

    Andrew Yang for President 2020 – "Speaking of the dearth of truck drivers, welders, plumbers, electricians, mechanics and other tradespeople, Yang said 6 percent of American high school students are in technical or vocational schools, compared to Germany where the rate is 59 percent. Yang said the automation of such industries has been exacerbated further by the need for workers. As president, he would team up with Mike Rowe of “Dirty Jobs” to try to destigmatize those jobs.

    “What we’ve done is over-prescribed college to young people in this country and we’ve stigmatized the trades and manual work. The end result is a labor shortage in the trades and manual skill jobs. In addition, 59 percent of the people, who start college finish in six years. We’re sending people to college that probably never should have gone to college in the first place. Thirdly, there is $1.6 trillion in student loan debt — most of it from college,” he said. “All these families have said I need to send my kid to college for them to have any chance of a decent life. College has gotten two and a half times more expensive.     Guess what? Equipment is made to fail. Your furnace WILL break your plumbing WILL break your electrical WILL break. You’re going to need us sooner or later. There’s unlimited work ☺️

    Trade school is not worth it and it’s okay to quit toxic trade jobs for better jobs which are less harmful to the person and other people. No regrets rejecting trade/tech school.

    Trade school/Community College = less stress, cost efficient, higher chances on landing on a job that you demand working for, and easier life balance.

    Universities = more stress, expensive, less chances on getting a demanding job, very complicated life schedule to adjust, and a higher student loan debt after graduating from a four year university/graduate school.

    Honestly, either one works depending on where are you financially standing at as long as you are willing to earn your stripes with no strings attached. Attaining an Associate's Degree and a technical certificate from a community college/trade school is more than enough to land you in an office/professional job that quick since there will be advisors/academic coordinators willing to help you out even more.

    college only beneficial if you rich af or poor af. if you are poor start with community college being full time af and get financial aid grants because you poor. but you can graduate debt free. stay poor and get good grades

    There are a lot of jobs that require a college degree that don't need to and would do better with the trade school model. And they probably could create trade schools for middle management.

    Yet i still go to trade school to be a car mechanic. <3 Would recommend.
