My heart breaks for the pain these honourable police officers felt on January 6, and still feel today. The behaviour of Trump and his Republican partners has been utterly disgraceful. Never forget that it was the Republican party, with Trump as their standard bearer who caused this. It's no wonder the Republican Senate didn't want an investigation into the events of that day, given their complicity in it. Each and every one of them bears responsibility for the pain of these officers.
