As much as we all hope Danny will get better I also hope the family has accepted the old Danny is gone. Hopefully Danny can learn to sit up, move a little or even say a few words, but returning to the Danny he was is simple not possible.

His case reminded me of the dutch prince Johan Friso. He was in a skiing accident in 2012 and suffered a similar brain damage. He passed away 18 months later …
As tragic as it was, I also think it was a relief.

They didn’t call the police because they’re unspeakably selfish. It’s not just that ambulance that would have showed up, but probably the cops and they didn’t want to get trouble. To know some many of these young men grow up to participate in the real world, after these sociopathic acts is disgusting and disturbing.

This is worse than death! You gave birth to a normal son and to have to go through this where you now have to care full time for a child from a avoidable misdemeanor is sad!

What a tragedy. I have a deep burning hatred for this macho toxic culture. Macho culture is the main reason why so many biological males around the world commit a lot of suicides and worse they commit a lot of violence plus it results to them suffering from loneliness, from injuries, from mental & physical disabilities, & even worse death. Hazing is absolutely abusive, disgusting, evil, pointless, and beyond stupid. Shame on any of them responsible for his disability. I hope Danny stays strong and my heart goes out to his family. I have a simple message to any young man out there who plans to join any hazing, I am warning you that you do not have to do it because it is not worth it, plus it could cost you your reputation, your money, your health, and most importantly your life, so do not join it period. To all my fellow human brothers out there, always remember be genuine and take care of one another.

  25. @MelBelle55

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

All the warnings kids have gotten not to haze and they still don't get it.

I don't even understand why you would want to join their club so bad that you'll endure all the hazing they all do to pledges. It's like paying for your friends.

  26. @isaacfermino6190

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

So why did he join a frat knowing there was drinking sorry but I’ve been so fucked up where I have told people I need to stop can’t let people get to you because this is what happened

  27. @patrinajasso5689

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

All this because of alcohol wow this is horrible. To the family so so sorry.

  28. @relentero8547

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

As someone who is a Phi Gam, I’m horrified hearing this. I did not get hazed, truthfully. The pledging process lasted 1 week and that was it. The chapter at Mizzou should be revoked, no questions asked

  29. @otaddiction

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

The people saying that it was his fault are disgusting. I can bet you anything that kid grew up a life where he didn't touch alcohol, so underestimated thinking that it'd be like from TV where somebody downs a whole bottle and they act funny, not considering the actual consequences. Also, they forced him into it. And he was an insecure boy who just wanted to be accepted.

  30. @xx-wy5ot

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

He can't eat, see, speak, talk ,walk, communicate, move, probably needs to be diaper changed/bathed by family..! Horrendous . This should be shown in all high schools as dire warning not to take part in these drinking initiation rituals, it's not worth it.

  31. @amandataylor893

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

Not only did they drive him to the hospital, but they were no doubt drunk themselves.

  32. @lilfun580

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

    And alcohol ist legal?

  33. @kp5496

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

I will never understand how you can get peer pressured. Like when my friends told me I was lame for not smoking weed when I was young, I was like alright but y’all gonna grow up stupid. We were still friends and life went on. There was no pressure. Now I’m in law school while none of them have degrees. One who got a 19 year old girl pregnant WHO WAS STILL IN HS AND ALREADY HAD A BABY WITH ANOTHER MAN, called me and asked me how to spell orange. Like…….wtf is peer pressure? Assume those peers are stupid, tell them that, and y’all move on. No need to do the stupid action.

Brother called him an it 🥺

  35. @DrummerElliott

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

He lost everything but an actual existence. He lost his life, his freedom, his skills, his independence. Everything. The family seems absolutely lovely and I'm positive that he'll receive every kind of care he needs. I hope that he'll be able to feel joy and love and that he'll go against the odds and progress and recover as much as physically possible. He's an innocent victim of something so ridiculously stupid I can't even begin to describe. Ooof, I'm so angry! Hopefully the people responsible will be held accountable. If not, internet will rebel because this has made hundreds of thousands of people really mad.

  36. @georgejungle2255

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

frats are like gangs. initiations? come on get with the times. after literally thousands of bad things happening by hazing you’d think they would get the hint

  37. @feralLove

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

I'm betting the young men are not.being held to.full accountability because their.parents are alumni of the college and donate quite a bit financially to the college.

  38. @Dangineering

    January 14, 2024 at 8:46 am

Mizzou's response to this pathetic. Absolutely limp in effect and I will never let them forget it.

Alcohol education is so important and needs to start in high school. Stories like these need to be told. Kids should be made to watch that video of him. People, especially 18 year olds, just cannot comprehend how dangerous alcohol can really be.

  40. @floridagators4life
