"Norms?" the GOP don't care about norms, they threw them out with their values when they elected DJT. "Laws?" well, first of all, our laws & law enforcement are about 20 years behind cyber criminals–so unethical behavior by AI, which can benefit the GOP, is going to be VERY hard to create new laws around, and even harder to police. Esp when you consider that the GOP controlled House has no interest whatsoever in legislating.

Abraham Lincoln was reported to have said: "You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people until about 2023 when AI will be used to generate the media being published and broadcast at large by the MSM."

The US has a lot of uninformed voters, on both sides. This AI is going to mess with their political perceptions and in some cases their cognitive dissonance. Even if laws are written and enacted pronto, it will be difficult at best to enforce such laws. Good luck going forward.

Think about the hot buzzword, "AI". Artificial by definition is not real. In the digital world, it is actually automated plagiarism. Sure, there is a similarity of memory and decisions represented by digital AI, but intelligence is essentially an analog process, not digital. The world has become accustomed to confusing popularity (hits) with value (money), which is a collateral problem. Originality is as palpable as sanity. The verification of a hypothesis by statistical means does establish a correlation at a certain threshold of correlation (eg: p<.03), but if you do regressive analysis, that significance is distorted. After all, most analysis can't differentiate causation from convergence due to some mutually foundational relationship. Blending those two issues (AI and sponsorship of content) clarifies the affect that the existing economics of media sponsorship is devoid of retrospection and commitment. Pay attention to the "scope" of issues (that is also an endemic issue with overall software development these days. Middleware shifts responsibility and an "exception" is actually an error.) Control your scope, and control your thoughts. Good focus, Jen, bravely alter scope. Our freedom to be ignorant is in trade for accepting the entitlements of those with expertise. Far more is unknown than is known.

Scientist have invented magnetic tape that can NOW hold terabytes worth of recordings. (Magnetic tape is what we used to use in VHS and Cassette tapes).
I can’t wait for cassettes to make a comeback. Imagine the mix tape one can make with terabytes worth of songs.
Awfully hard to AI generate on old school magnetic tape. Time we stopped trusting digital cameras. Now every clip is going to have to be verified. Which isn’t hard the Ai generated data will show up in the digital data.

🦆Most Americans do not know the Truth about anything. They get their News from the American Democrat Owned and Operated Main Stream Media whose job is to suppress the news , not report it. And stuff your minds with Propaganda and Lies. 🦆Donald Trump has shown the country the true nature of leftist media. For this, I am thankful. 🦆Leftist media is a cesspool of dirty lies and slanderous smears.

Trump’s DOJ subpoenas NYT journalists over Air Force One story

Published

on

The Trump administration issued subpoenas on Friday to several journalists for The New York Times, after the paper reported on security concerns involving President Trump’s new Qatari-donated Air Force One. In some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal agents who showed up at reporters’ homes. The subpoenas seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday, and are an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations. NYT Investigative reporter Michael Schmidt joins Morning Joe with more on this developing story.
