President Donald Trump plans to use part of a primetime speech Thursday to discuss new findings about the security of American elections, among other topics — setting up yet another high-profile opportunity for the president to dispute the results of the 2020 election he lost. Speaking in the Oval Office two days ahead of the planned address, Trump affirmed the speech would focus on elections and a “couple of other things.”
Officials said the speech is still being finalized, but Trump was expected to discuss several topics. He’s still deeply mired in his conflict with Iran, with nightly strikes in the country as he seeks a path to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Even as that war appears to be restarting, however, Trump framed the elections portion of his Thursday speech as the centerpiece.

I think it is a shame that most of the money of this bill as I understand it from media posts goes to foreign governments and the arts. Make no mistake I support the arts; but really billions and trillions to foreign governments?. We the people are dying, tired of trying to support the world, and need help here at home now. Sometimes if you can't help and support your own family…how can you even think of support the world in gifts.

I do not think the government is alarmed.
There is too much to disclose and this is not the forum to do so. However here are just a few points.
Several of the federal agencies had been put on notice about security issues years ago, such as FCC, FAA, Homeland Security, several Senaters as well as the media. These warnings fell upon death ears, to this day. So, there is plenty of blame to go around.
There are so many areas of weakness it is ashame. From the biggest issues being the phone companies. First, these companies staff the regulators with their own people, or the staff working for the agencies know if they "go along to get along" , there is a lucrative job waiting for them in the private sector.
These agencies give these phone companies guidelines without any enforcemet teeth. Case in point, the phone companies are suppose to protect the nation's 911 anf FAA services. But there is little to no agency oversite of the mandates put forth. Rather, these mandates are on the honor system. Who in their right mind thinks corporations are going to do the right thing when there is a choice between security verses placing money on infrastructure that has a return on investment on the table.
The next issue with phone companies is, most of their central offices are for the most part unprotected. Thus soft targets.
Many military bases, have their central office on the outside of the guard gate at the base. This alone is crazy. Then the military contracts the maintenance to the local network operator who could hire just about anybody to work in these telecom central offices. This goes without saying many such companys today, outsource their employees to get around paying benefits, of which was created by congress.
Then we wonder why our government and infrastructures are continually getting hacked.
