The ineptitude of these kids is something to behold. Alameda research was able to front run trades from the FTX platform. That's literally a license to print money. What they started to do was gamble.

No stop loses expected the market to trade one way forever. A hedge fund is meant to hedge.

To cover the loses they then used collateral from their own coin to say they had the balance sheet. This is no different to Madoff printing customer statements, look on paper everything is fine.

Ellison was always going to sing like a canary. The SEC waited for their guy to be in the air before announcing Wang and Ellison turned state. They probably thought they would have to wait until February.

This means they feel they have him banged to rights. Be interesting to see if SBF parents get charges, they seemed to be involved in the donations, government corruption and money laundering. I can't see how they won't be in some form of charges.

Lack of Russia Pressure Strategy a ‘Problem’: Daalder

Published

on

Former US Ambassador to NATO Ivo Daalder says the Trump administration lacks a concerted strategy to pressure Russia into negotiations, arguing Washington needs to combine continued military support for Ukraine with stronger economic pressure and diplomacy. He also sees little prospect that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit to Washington will produce progress toward ending the war. Daalder speaks with Joe Mathieu and Tyler Kendall on the late edition of Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power.”

Iran War Exposes Limits of US Military Endurance
