Thank god wages have risen to match the 2+ years of price rises…
Ohhh wait, they haven't. Maybe that's why unemployment is at an all time low.
People having to take a 2nd or third job.

This guy's biggest "fear" is commercial real estate? (That's where I stopped.) Stephanie, you still don't seem to be acquainted with any economists who live in the real world. And I'll assume that during the last minute, there is, AGAIN, no mention of a living wage relating to all these jobs, jobs, jobs. There was no mention whatsoever of what theses jobs, jobs, jobs pay. Are your "experts" afraid of the figures?

Every financial goal requires patience, dedication and consistent spirit knowing that investment is currently the most lucrative business in the world. both NFT, real estate, Stocks and Crypto is positively changing people's lives.I'm delighted I was able to contact my coach Gregory Thomas Patchak earlier this year because while others were busy whining about the downturn I was busy cashing out from my portfolio, finally making over 370k only for the first quarter. of the year. Gregory Thomas Patchak. Has helped us become debt-free and save for retirement." he has helped transformed my life, he has been amazing, and ever since I met him, my life has taken a positive turn because of the passive income through his knowledge and ideas are essential for succeeding against all odds in this area of online commerce…

These "news" channels couldn't be more disconnected with realityand at this point it is obvious they just propaganda puppets for they're respective political parties. Our economy has been completely broken fro the average citizen going back to 2008 and it continues to get worse.

I have been saying this for over a year. Everyone keeps talking about recession. Apparently no one is looking at the jobs report.. inflation coming down yes it's tough. If you look at the absolute gouging that became the norm. At fox and other right wing propaganda outlets. Run doom and gloom around the clock. If trump was the president every maga fan. Every right wing media outlets would be saying. Trump is the greatest. There's no question in my mind. If trump had the exact same 30 months in office instead of Biden. Maga world would be throwing a parade. Look at the numbers look at the rest of the world. The United States economy is great. If not for manufactured inflation. That is coming down. Our economy is going to be different moving forward. It's my opinion that is a good thing. By the way trump had nothing to do with it. He inherited an economy on a huge upswing. Biden inherited an economy that was trying to work it's way out of the pandemic. History is going to be kind to Biden. And it should be.

I am a stock investor and I said there would be no recession. Low IQ Republicans kept pumping, "the sky is falling, bail out". They did the same during COVID. So when these morons bailed on Exxon I picked it up at roughly $45 a share. Now it is $105. Picked up several others as well but Exxon was the best overall.

Nicolle and Aaron Sorkin: This is Trump’s ‘ultimate mind f***’

Published

on

By

Aaron Sorkin wasn’t planning to make another movie about Facebook — until he met a whistleblower whose story he felt compelled to tell. In an expansive conversation with Nicolle Wallace, the Oscar- and Emmy-winning writer and director discusses his new film, The Social Reckoning, and the extraordinary power Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook wield over nearly 3 billion people — and the costly decisions that have shaped the platform’s impact on our lives, our politics and our democracy.
A follow-up to 2010’s The Social Network, Sorkin’s new film examines Facebook in the age of Trump, telling the story of whistleblower Frances Haugen’s decision to expose internal documents detailing misinformation and potential harms, while exploring an older Zuckerberg confronting the consequences of the technology he created. Sorkin explains why he chose to release the film ahead of the midterm elections and why he believes there is still room for optimism — if we are willing to act.

Wallace and Sorkin explore Zuckerberg’s immense influence, the decisions surrounding Facebook on January 6, the people inside the company who knew what was happening and remained silent, and why Wallace sees Zuckerberg as “bubble wrapped from reality.” They discuss the complicated empathy the film invites audiences to feel for Zuckerberg — and how that empathy can coexist with accountability for decisions that affect billions. Sorkin also shares the story of Zuckerberg’s former consigliere and their falling out, his reaction to Jeremy Strong’s portrayal of Zuckerberg (whom Sorkin calls “the best American actor under 50 years old”), and Facebook’s efforts to obtain the film’s script before its release. He reveals how the filmmakers prepared for potential legal challenges, including the threat of a lawsuit.

The conversation also examines Trump’s relationship with Zuckerberg, the former president’s attacks on the media despite his apparent appetite for attention from credible news organizations, and the essential role investigative journalism plays in holding powerful people and institutions accountable. Wallace and Sorkin discuss why Congress and the law continue to lag behind rapidly advancing technology, the consequences of leaving that power unchecked, and why the stakes for democracy could hardly be higher.

And in a moment that connects Sorkin’s celebrated work across generations, the conversation turns to A Few Good Men, Hegseth’s “illegal order” and the enduring importance of questioning authority. Wallace, who was inspired by Allison Janney’s portrayal of White House Press Secretary C.J. Cregg on The West Wing to imagine a future for herself in the White House, joins Sorkin in reflecting on the responsibilities of the press, the dangers of unchecked power and the choices that define our political moment.

From Facebook’s influence over billions of lives to Trump, whistleblowers, investigative journalism and the future of American democracy, Sorkin’s message is clear: We need to take democracy more seriously.
