   Study this.. lmagine what native Americans should be entitled to based on the horrific crimes against humanity committed against them. FAR worse than anything ever done against blacks. Blacks had value, natives had no value and were slaughtered. Men, women and children. Who next to receive reps? Lgbtq's, pedophiles or child traffickers? What a sh!t show.    Slaves were traded by African save trader chiefs to European slave traders. Do the European slave traders get a refund? Freed slaves were given the option of repatriation back to Africa and most chose to stay in the USA. Is someone who immigrated to the USA from Brazil in 2009 eligible for reparations as their great great great great grandmother may have been a slave? Why doesnt biden just stick to telling us what his favorite flavor of ice cream is. Let the adults who are not senile deal with these things

   Already rich white Sandy Hook families can get millions in emotional distress, but thousand and thousands of our children were tossed into the sea for not making the passage, its not just about the forced labor. Every second they take just even debating it, is emotional distress on our part, and we should sue just like the Sandy Hook families if nothing happens.

The U.S. has already orchestrated reparations to Japanese Americans, Jewish Americans and Native Americans. Once again, the U.S. will not see Black Americans as equal citizens. Christians are not second class citizens, especially Black Christians! To all the so call Christians that think this is justifiably, it's wicked! GOD's Word says in Proverbs 29:7 “A righteous man knows the rights of the poor; a wicked man does not understand such knowledge.”

    Reparations are for living victims of atrocities- not their great great great grandchildren. Being black is no impediment to the Nigerian or West Indian immigrants that come to the US and prosper. 20% of US blacks are poor. What about the 80% doing well? Reparations will only divide an already divided country even more. Bad idea.

    I think it is important that we understand that reparations are more than just a financial payment.
    Reparations should be a holistic approach to ensuring a total form of healing for Americans rather you are light skin or dark skin.
    The institution of slavery created a attitude of superiority in America that has created a psychological dysfunction that is still being felt by light skin and dark skin Americans. Simply put, I think it is wrong for us to suggest that reparations in the 21st century is only for African americans.
    In order for racism to have been grounded in the American psyche, racial superiority and racials inferiority had to be a mental illness that affected both light skin and dark skin americans.
    Probably one of the greatest testimonies to how far reaching this brainwashing has taken place in our country, is the fact that we as a nation, after surviving institutionalized racism, after surviving Jim crow, after surviving racial inequality and finances and in social housing, we are still referring to ourselves by slave names.
    The words Black, White, and the "N" word, are holdovers from the initial construction of institutionalized slavery.
    Black and white were never terms of endearment, or references for unique people.
    The terms black and white were originally designed in order to trigger subconscious and conscious responses to racial profiling.
    If you were considered white you were considered Superior. If you were considered black you were considered inferior. This had absolutely nothing to do with the level of intelligence that you possessed it had everything to do with social classifications that identified you by color and not as a person.
    This was true not only for so-called black people, but this was true for so-called white people.
    It did not matter the level of education or the level of decency moral character that a person walked in if you were considered white you are considered Superior, and if you were considered black, you were considered inferior.
    These psychological triggers are still being used today, but they are not being acknowledged as psychological manipulation. The psychological control of racial identity is so ingrained in our social and political system that we no longer consider the terms White and Black and the N-word as derogatory terms.
    Reparations will give us an opportunity to study the effects of long-term institutionalized psychological responses.
    If we look carefully, the terms White, black, and the N-word are holdovers from the initial stages of institutionalized slavery in America, yet we have not evolved past using these phrases to identify ourselves in modern society.
    It is my contention that these words trigger subconscious images, dare I say, stereotypical images, of what certain groups in society are; these subconscious stereotypical images are not based on logic and they are not based on science, they are only based on personal experience.
    Let's use George Floyd as an example, the police officers that abused and eventually killed him were of mixed race.
    We cannot say this was a racially motivated crime. because this case is still within the legal system there is much I do not know about it. But just with the little knowledge that I have, I have never heard that these police officers were had bad records or were brought up on racial charges in the past.
    I suggest that these officers were suffering from a form of post-traumatic slavery syndrome, that made them look at this dark-skinned man and think of him as nothing more than a black man.
    reparations will allow us to be able to speak freely about this and it will give a face to unspoken difficulties within a multicultural society that rarely are spoken about openly and consistently.
    Issues like African-American racism within their own culture. Issues like multiracial racism amongst people of color. Issues like white guilt. Issues like black hypocrisy. Issues like cultural abnormalities that can point all the way back to racial superiority that are being seen as everything else except racially related.
    Reparations will not only bring needed finances to to targeted areas that need revitalization and individuals that need financial assistance, but it will also start a dialogue that will not only heal African Americans but it will heal our nation.
    This is a truth that few people talk about, in order for a whole community to take a man and hang him from a tree without a trial that requires a form of mental illness that is defined by evil but the root of it is lessons learned in slavery.
    We need to show the love of God in implementing any form of reparations. The last thing we need to do is point fingers or make it seem as if so-called Black America, suffered but White America did not. Reparations should be designed to heal our nation. American slavery is unique, American Jim Crow is unique, America is about to turn our society over to a multicultural Nation of brown people.
    The terms white and black no longer adequately describe the demographics of America.
    Reparations will give a voice to the voice less and will allow discussions on levels that have never been done in an organized and intentional way in America.
    I applaud Illinois for initializing reparations. Is everything they are doing perfect? No. Everything they are doing is needed in order for us to stop procrastinating concerning reparations and to actually do something that our nation can see, be proud of, and add to the conversation.
    I vote for reparations, and I vote for Illinois to be the first to start a conversation that should have begun decades ago.
    Everything happens for a reason, let this be the beginning of a new generation, dare I say, a new America that we can turn over to the multicultural generation that is about to become our leaders, our Hope, and the promise of America.

    Reparations in the form of welfare and countless programs to specifically benefit minorities has been going on for over 50 years and they have only made the lives of poor people worse. However good luck finding any white or black families that came from white or black families from before the Civil War. No one who migrated here after the Civil War can be connected to, be held accountable for or receive any benefits from slavery.

    The first African slaves were brought to America in 1619 to Jamestown, a Dutch colony. Will the Dutch government to held responsible for reparations? They were sold by African tribesmen, so African countries that traded in slaves will need to be held financially responsible too. Many African Americans are proud of their African heritage, so maybe some kind of repatriation programs would be suitable instead. The United States did not exist until 1776 and slavery was outlawed by President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation in 1862, so the US government legally sanctioned slavery for only 86 years. Plus there would need to be proration of any payments against compensations already received out through the myriad of government social programs, welfare, housing, medical and educational programs and others such as EEO, Affirmative Action, et al. It's going to be a long and complicated process.

    A lump sum reparation payment means lifelong, generational reparation payments can end: welfare, food stamps, subsidized housing, affirmative action, etc.
