I used to have respect for Lawrence O'Donnell and that's because he said he was against War and the Corporate takeover of America. Now I understand that these parrots say whatever they are told because they are paid to. I would bet that selling out for money is one of the last best ways to make a living but I also think about the people who's life's are destroyed by this and the people who died as a result of selling out. I asked why would anyone do this and I realize that they don't care and at that moment, I became aware of what evil really is.

If trump were treated the way he said He would treat someone of these crimes he would have been in prison long ago.
Now he says he is treated unfairly.
I agree, if he were treated fairly, again, he would have been sentenced to prison long ago.
He also said that anyone who would plead the fifth was guilty because only mob bosses would do that and yet that is exactly what he did.
Again, how can you ever take the word of a pathological liar?

We have a 3 tier justice system. The rich and famous skate, regular people not so much. People of color get little justice.

If this is the reaction to the Mar-a-Lago documents indictment, it should be really fun to see all the reactions to what happens next with election interference and J6 indictments IF they come as expected by many.

Why does the secret service say he can't go to prison because only they can guard him and not prison guards. Lock him up in a military jail if that's the case.

  14. @surfwriter8461

    January 17, 2024 at 12:11 pm

Everything said by Andrew Weissman is grounded in fact and totally reasonable. Yet there are many people in this country–fed disinformation and propaganda daily by FoxU and similar outlets–who believe this prosecution in politically motivated and fraudulent. Those people are ignorant, ill-informed, bigoted, and warped by their willful acceptance of false narratives to confirm their twisted biases. They, along with the R swamp gang of craven trump apologists and the cynical right-wing outlets, are complicit in trump's crimes and his malicious assaults on our democracy, including the rule of law that trump disparages because he won't accept being labeled a criminal.

We thought that Saddam Hussein was a globally recognizable figure, yet he hid for nine months during the Gulf War, before the allies caught up to him. Trump may be globally recognizable, but he has a private plane and unlimited funds, so why isn't he being remanded until the trial?

our country isn't out of danger until trump has left the planet.

  41. @smackthejokers

    January 17, 2024 at 12:11 pm

That is key. Folks are in jail for less than what Trump is alleged (and has partially confessed) to have done here. For the ppl backing Trump by invoking Biden, they need to try to point to someone who is in jail for what Biden is alleged to have done. And even if they could, you can't indict a sitting POTUS. That's an inequality that should be fresh in everyone's mind. Jordan and the crew could try to impeach though. There should be calls for impeachment if they really believe Biden is a similar offender.

  42. @deborahboggs6040

    January 17, 2024 at 12:11 pm

No one should be above the law but trump sure has been and like you mentioned people are in jail for far less ….if he see prison time [which i doubt] it will be a miracle …plus, hes already delaying, staling with this and has formed his own lieing legal team…guess where that will lead[ like his impeachment!!! walks free!!!!!as ususal !!

  43. @Ryan-Fkrepublicnz

    January 17, 2024 at 12:11 pm

Merrick Garland needs to show his work from BEFORE the J-6 committee opened his eyes for him. Right. NOTHING TO SHOW. Mueller's work went in the garbage can, never to be seen or heard from again. Yet Mueller had four completed investigations ready and waiting to go to indictment and trial. Those cases went quietly to their graves, unopened and unreviewed. Garland waited to appoint the Special Counsel until they expired. He'd be waiting still if the J-6 committee had not forced his hand.
