Nicolle and Aaron Sorkin: This is Trump’s ‘ultimate mind f***’
Aaron Sorkin wasn’t planning to make another movie about Facebook — until he met a whistleblower whose story he felt compelled to tell. In an expansive conversation with Nicolle Wallace, the Oscar- and Emmy-winning writer and director discusses his new film, The Social Reckoning, and the extraordinary power Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook wield over nearly 3 billion people — and the costly decisions that have shaped the platform’s impact on our lives, our politics and our democracy.
A follow-up to 2010’s The Social Network, Sorkin’s new film examines Facebook in the age of Trump, telling the story of whistleblower Frances Haugen’s decision to expose internal documents detailing misinformation and potential harms, while exploring an older Zuckerberg confronting the consequences of the technology he created. Sorkin explains why he chose to release the film ahead of the midterm elections and why he believes there is still room for optimism — if we are willing to act.
Wallace and Sorkin explore Zuckerberg’s immense influence, the decisions surrounding Facebook on January 6, the people inside the company who knew what was happening and remained silent, and why Wallace sees Zuckerberg as “bubble wrapped from reality.” They discuss the complicated empathy the film invites audiences to feel for Zuckerberg — and how that empathy can coexist with accountability for decisions that affect billions. Sorkin also shares the story of Zuckerberg’s former consigliere and their falling out, his reaction to Jeremy Strong’s portrayal of Zuckerberg (whom Sorkin calls “the best American actor under 50 years old”), and Facebook’s efforts to obtain the film’s script before its release. He reveals how the filmmakers prepared for potential legal challenges, including the threat of a lawsuit.
The conversation also examines Trump’s relationship with Zuckerberg, the former president’s attacks on the media despite his apparent appetite for attention from credible news organizations, and the essential role investigative journalism plays in holding powerful people and institutions accountable. Wallace and Sorkin discuss why Congress and the law continue to lag behind rapidly advancing technology, the consequences of leaving that power unchecked, and why the stakes for democracy could hardly be higher.
And in a moment that connects Sorkin’s celebrated work across generations, the conversation turns to A Few Good Men, Hegseth’s “illegal order” and the enduring importance of questioning authority. Wallace, who was inspired by Allison Janney’s portrayal of White House Press Secretary C.J. Cregg on The West Wing to imagine a future for herself in the White House, joins Sorkin in reflecting on the responsibilities of the press, the dangers of unchecked power and the choices that define our political moment.
From Facebook’s influence over billions of lives to Trump, whistleblowers, investigative journalism and the future of American democracy, Sorkin’s message is clear: We need to take democracy more seriously.

Raised drug prices 700% in less than a week!
Think of it like a Drug Cartel. The drug cartel makes the drugs (pharmaceutical company) they then set up transport to various Drug lords across the world. The drug lords (middle men) add a cut on top of the cost and sell the drugs to street dealers. The street dealers sell the drugs to the people. The street dealers are the pharmacies. The HHS bill Got rid of the drug Lords and their % take. Have you ever got a coupon for cheaper drugs from the doctor? We have a handful of times… one was for a drug that was $975 a month for 30 pills. We got a coupon from Astra Zeneca that dropped the price to $76…. the difference was what the middle man was charging for
The drug….. get it? This is why you can get a medication that costs $250 in the USA but is $5 in Mexico. Trump signed a bill saying no more middlemen (some owned by the pharmaceutical companies) and said give the actual price to the people. 1 day in and joe says we need those middle men… we need to have the people pay those higher costs.

I feel it's appropriate to say that we all knew WHY the Pretender-in-Chief sabotaged Covid data collection. Let's not pretend that it's "confusing" why he intentionally obstructed any attempts to accurately report the actual Covid data. Like every other horrible action Trump took, he TOLD US why he didn't want the ACTUAL Covid data getting released leading up to election day…

Oh, NOW we are going to learn that the sickdem's WON'T BE ABLE TO CONTROL COVID ANY BETTER than President Trump. While Trump was around, the sickdems were safe. They could blame him for everything. But now that he has gone, let's see if lazy Joe can do any better! Already he seems to be floundering. While previously occupying a government chair for 47 years, he produced nothing memorable or of value, but now at last, he seems to have galvanized himself into action, and aiming well above his capabilities, is churning out new laws, all for the benefit of non- Americans, that once become law, will put all true Americans at risk. But that's to be. expected. The sickdems do not consider America, the country, worthy of their attention. They are GLOBALISTS, and believe they have bigger fish to fry. They are after controlling the WHOLE WORLD . The career politicians, the class to which the sickdem leadership belong, have discovered that absolute power can be corrupted absolutely, and they intend to use their power to the fullest. Those who sneered at President Trump, are going to find during the comng months and years, that their freedoms and privileges as American citizens, are going to disappear, and the immigrants will be the favored ones. When THAT begins to happen, don't start whining. You had your chance and rejected it!

Americans need to understand the Drumpf administration approached this pandemic by trying to minimize political damage from day 1. Minimizing infection and death were NEVER the priority for them, that’s why we have 20% of the world’s COVID death with 5% of the world’s population.
