Gilles Mendel takes a moment from the hubbub backstage to talk to FashionTV. “This Fall collection has been inspired by a Vogue editorial by Diane Vreeland in Barcelona,” he says. The line contains beautiful architecture and texture as well as a beautiful mosaic. There’s a mix of fabrics and a lot of surprise. “Furs are going to be amazing!” he exclaims. Australian model Nicole Trunfio is backstage in a tight ivory dress, beige heels and matching fur. “He uses such luxurious fabrics and its very elegant and timeless,” she says of the designer and the brand. Trunfio is a busy girl, traveling to Miami and Paris for modeling and working on a jewelry line that is out in March 2012.

Had to review my intl watch book from around 2003 and read up. Ā Remember now, him being the 1 person to revive the black diamond market. Ā He was putting black diamonds on everything even cell phones, and selling them like hot cakes. Ā He located boutiques at places drawing the biggest spenders and continues to entertain socialites. Ā Just look at all the lazy eyes at this gathering. Ā They are diehard partiers! Heck, I think he even dated Tara Reid at one time. Ā Loved that watch, no. Uno.
