My sisters attended high school with Amber's mother and her aunt. When I was a kid, her aunt used to scare the crap out of me. She had those eyes, as well. She also had high cheekbones and a scar, I don't recall exactly where, on her face. And sometimes the way she would talk and her expressions. As a kid, I just thought she was scary! Now I laugh!

Madonna and Donatella could identify with her as a regular woman. Amber came at the time where models really were not super pretty but looking edgy and unconventional. Think Erin O'Conner, Hannelore Knuts, Raquel Zimmerman, Frankie Rayder.. during that era. Even Gisele (Donatella said this) and Carmen weren't considered extremely beautiful, but they appealed more to the masses especially Gisele which made her the super model in her prime.
