India and Germany are nearing an agreement to build six submarines in India. With this India will be spreading its defense purchases: GE aero engines and reaper drones from the U. S., Rafael-Ms from France, and now the German subs. Indian reliance on Russia will gradually decline. Russia has become an unreliable supplier due the Western sanctions and domestic
issues. For example, after the initial batches, the S-400 supplies are now halted. India was buying the Russian arms because that country was the only willing supplier, the prices were low although the quality was poor. Now, the U. S. and the major European powers are vying for the Indian contracts, the newly rich India could afford the Western equipment, and strategically India wants to cut down reliance on Russia. So, it’s a combination of several factors.

Germany already have huge investment in india like Siemens and all and its in recession german chancellor couple of months ago went to china with business delegation so did Emanuele macron so there is nothing unusual about it as well… Relationships are all about money and not with regards to kindergarten emotional quotient… 5.3 billion dollars deal who wouldn't take it ? After all money doesn't grows on trees …. They all know who is supplying oil and gas to Europe to run their economies in recession as well.. its simple 😂😂

Typical Illiterate wannabe experts. "India never build a Submarine, it doesn't have the technology"??? What a dumb statement from an ignorant. India is part of a very niche group having design and manufacture SSBN (Nuclear powered and Ballistic Missile carrying submarines). "INS ARIHANT" and "INS ARIGHAT"

RUSSIA did not take the opportunity what it had in future 3rd biggest ECONOMY & DEFENSE POWER, at minimum. Russia simply treated India as money customer. Even now Russia still doesn't want to collaborate with India below surface level. Russias CHINA pivot will fail big big time. Iam really sad for Russia, this complet unnecessary war & suffering is so many blunders for Russis, too much to talk in few minutes
