It is unbelievable that women have not been advocating for equal birth rights for men! To correct this error we women should call on our Representatives in Congress to put forth a bill that will require all males 12 and older to submit to DNA testing. The results will be stored in a national database so that when a child is born the rightful father will be required to pay child support and show up for scheduled parenting unless deemed a threat. If we care about children the least we can do is require equal responsibility for the parents! Right? Too harsh?

"Other countries of the World do not understand this." Many, sure. Sans Canada. Your next-door neighbour to The North sees, hears, and smells all, sometimes to our detriment.
The Fragmented States of America. We certainly do understand. In a word: Quebec.

If Roe. v. Wade gets overturned, it should become illegal for men to leave pregnant women. If women can't back out of a pregnancy, men shouldn't be able to either.

Dear person ignorant of history, law and political science (Lawrence O’Donnell). The reason nations outside of the USA union don’t understand how different states within the USA union can have different national laws is that they, like you don’t understand that the USA union is a union of sovereign nations.

Do you want to stop the anti-abortion movement in its tracks?
Legislate that, if necessary, the fathers of all babies will be located by DNA tracking
and will either have to work and support their offspring until he or she is 18 years old or go to jail.

Reporting from VATICAN CITY —
Pope Francis is allowing all priests to absolve women of the “grave sin” of abortion, extending indefinitely special permission he had granted for the duration of the just-ended Holy Year of Mercy.
Francis wrote in the Apostolic Letter made public by the Vatican on Monday that “there is no sin that God’s mercy cannot reach and wipe away when it finds a repentant heart seeking to be reconciled” with God

This is the case in Europe where abortion is limited to 15 or 20 weeks in most nations. Poland bans it except for life of mother harm.
We are the United States of America.
States…as in a Nation State.
50 separate Nation States in a low tariff trading bloc.
Think of each State as a Country.
Makes perfect sense.
You don't like abortion?
Don't live in CT or CA.
You want no state tax? Move to TX or FL.

Thank you, Lawrence! Your words may be spoken softly but their ring of truth echoes around the world where Parliamentary Democracies had the advantage of being able to study the U.S. Constitution, spot the Electoral College error and avoid the pitfalls it generated. Between 1775 and 1783, the Founders struggled to design a system of self-government based on timeless principles, a system that would protect individual liberty whilst developing a body of law that would protect the people from a possibly tyrannical majority. That system assumed certain 'givens': that those who aspired to hold officce would be literate, educated in history, law, philosophy, the essentials of mathematics and domestic economy. Only a person versed in those essential areas of human competence would be able to assume the duties and responsibilities of Elected Office in a DEMOCRACY. Ignorance spawned Superstition, Prejudice, and Tyranny. Democracy is an enlightened form of Governance. Only in Tyrannical Systems is Ignorance praised, valued and rewarded. An informed populace living under a system of just laws is a bulwark against the arbitrariness of AUTHORITARIANISM – the opposite of Democracy. Lawrence's commentaries remind those who have forgotten their grade school 'civics' classes, inform those who have never known and critique the short-comings in the U.S. system so that everyone can take a breath, pause to consider the dangers of Authoritarianism as opposed to Democracy and make a choice based on principles of equal rights in law, the freedom to think and learn, and the inherent human Right not to be tyrannised by Ignorance, Superstition and Prejudice. For all its flaws and fragilities, I'll take Democracy every time but it must be a One Person, One Vote Democracy not the tyranny of the minority created by the Electoral College. Until such time as there can be a process to Amend the Constitution and demolish the Electoral, the only way to prevent Authoritarianism is to make voting as Convenient, Reliable and TRANSPARENT as possible. That means WRITTEN BALLOTS, MAIL-IN BALLOTS. FOR ALL WHO WISH THEM, POLLING STATIONS THAT ENSURE NO ONE STANDS IN LINE FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES, AND MAKING ELECTION DAY A PAID HOLIDAY FOR ALL. Voting is THE KEYSTONE of Democracy. Every voter and every vote must count and be counted in a Democracy. Authoritarianism is the end of all of that. (Thomas Paine's The Rights of Man (sic) makes a good Primer on the arguments for and against Democracy.)

"We the people" should start over by abolishing supreme court system as it exists at present, seven dictator selected by a non democratic process. Why do we need seven dictators appointed by crook like McConnell and republican politicians? While we are at it abolish senate, electoral system and all laws on the book favoring wealthry and powerful interest.
