He was never going to allow himself to be interviewed. That’s a basic negotiation technique. Ask for something you know there’s no way they will allow. Then refuse because of it. It’s funny because it’s such an obvious ploy. The DOJ is a bunch of spineless worms, so it was a safe bet.
