The Justice Department on Monday announced the creation of a $1.776 billion fund to compensate President Donald Trump’s allies who claim they were unfairly targeted by the previous administration.

It’s an unprecedented move that would allow the president’s administration to pay his supporters from a government agency he controls with taxpayer money.

CNN interviewed two pardoned J6 rioters who are excited about the prospect of a payout. Plus, a CNN NewsNight Panel debates the merits of the fund.

When asked by ABC News’ Rachel Scott if he would accept a short term deal that would allow Iran and Oman, a key American ally in the Middle East, to control the Strait of Hormuz, President Trump said no.

The astronauts filled out an electronic absentee ballot aboard the station, then the encrypted document was sent through a tracking and data relay satellite back to Earth. It’s ultimately routed to the County Clerk’s office.
