President Trump’s Fed nominee Kevin Warsh at impasse over Powell investigation
President Trump’s selection to chair the Federal Reserve, Kevin Warsh, testified in a Senate confirmation hearing on Tuesday as his nomination faces bipartisan opposition centered on a federal criminal investigation into the central bank’s current leader Jerome Powell.
Republican Sen. Thom Tillis told ABC News’ Elizabeth Schulze that he supports Warsh to chair the Fed, but won’t vote to confirm him as long as Powell is being investigated.
