Martin Quad: Shattered Elegance for S/S 27 | Milan Men Fashion Week

Published

on

Where performance art meets classical tailoring – witness the hauntingly beautiful, image-shifting spring/summer 2027 Milan runway debut of Martin Quad on FashionTV!

Hosted at the prestigious Fondazione Sozzani in Bovisa, under the esteemed mentorship and creative direction of Sara Sozzani Maino, the presentation unveiled “Woodman Pt.2” – a collection that confidently proves fashion can exist as a deeply moving performance medium far beyond basic textiles.

The collection draws profound inspiration from the evocative, ghostly black-and-white photography of the late American artist Francesca Woodman. Translating Woodman’s surrealist exploration of the female form into the realm of menswear, Juncker utilized “mirroring” as his core construction principle.

Classical tailoring was masterfully subverted; garments were structurally duplicated, inverted, displaced, and fragmented. Silhouettes warped and morphed on the body without entirely abandoning their traditional roots, paying a tactile tribute to the tonal fragility and layered textures of Woodman’s legendary imagery.

True to the brand’s theatrical heritage, the runway was conceived as a live operatic choreography. Set against a physical landscape of broken mirrors and suspended drapes designed by Kristian Kirk of inter.agcy, models moved to an original operatic score composed by Martin Juncker in collaboration with Copenhagen artist Soli City.

Styled by Berlin-based creative consultant Tim Heyduck, the Made-in-Italy collection effortlessly blurred the boundaries between fashion, theater, and fine art installation.

Stephane Rolland: Between Light and Vertigo for F/W 26-27 | Paris Haute Couture Week

Published

on

Experience the ultimate fusion of music, memory, and high fashion by watching the full Stephane Rolland fall/winter 2026-27 couture show on FashionTV! This deeply poetic F/W 2026–2027 collection that paid homage to one of the most enigmatic icons of twentieth-century stage, Dalida.

The runway collection transcended traditional fashion storytelling, translating the Egyptian-born, Italian-rooted French legend’s complex life into living architectural art. Rolland’s vision traced Dalida’s journey from her early days in Cairo and meteoric rise in 1950s Paris to the existential depth that defined her later years. Known for his mastery of sculptural volume and dramatic purity, the designer captured the poignant duality of a woman who lived at the intersection of public radiance and private tragedy.

The garments oscillated between luminous, sweeping silhouettes symbolizing her stage presence and stark, austere constructions echoing her inner quest for meaning. Rich, noble fabrics were draped with mathematical precision, evoking both the Mediterranean warmth of her heritage and the Camus-like absurdity of her deeply introspective soul. Behind the glittering stardom lay an artist who sang not merely to charm, but to survive.

Stephane Rolland distilled that quiet tension into every line and fold, transforming the runway into a sung diary of memory, silence, and timeless allure. The collection stood as a powerful testament to Dalida’s enduring legacy – a tribute to an artist who, behind the fame, never stopped searching for light.

Garcias: Latin Dreamers for S/S 27 | Milan Men Fashion Week

Published

on

Step inside the vibrant Latin American neighborhood: watch the historic Garcias spring/summer 2027 Milan debut now on FashionTV!

On June 20, 2026, Milan Fashion Week witnessed a historic milestone as designer Nicolás Martín Garcia debuted his brand, Garcias, entering the official calendar of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. As the first-ever Colombian designer to achieve this feat, Garcia transformed his runway into a deeply moving manifesto entitled “Si lo crees, lo creas – Latin Dreamers” (“If you believe it, you create it”).

The S/S 2027 collection stands as an emotional love letter to the Latin diaspora, beautifully exploring how migration, memory, and dual cultural identity can be translated into a contemporary language of luxury.

Rather than a traditional runway backdrop, the show’s scenography was a full-scale, living reconstruction of a Latin American neighborhood. The venue breathed with urban energy, populated by musicians, dancers, street vendors, and families who embody the cultural heart of these communities. Models walked through this immersive landscape wearing a collection that kicked off with a luminous palette inspired by Caribbean mornings – sky blues, butter yellows, creams, and faded indigos, punctuated by sharp bursts of coral and terracotta.

The silhouettes offered an essential yet highly distinctive wardrobe, pairing tailored, pleated knee-length Bermuda shorts with ribbed tank tops, fluid wide-leg trousers, washed denim shirt jackets, and cozy knitted poncho vests. The true magic of the collection lay in the rich dialogue between Colombian textile heritage and rigorous Italian craftsmanship. Traditional textures inspired by Wayuu crochet traditions and Andean ruana patterns coexisted flawlessly with premium Italian tailoring linens and fine cottons.

Faded denim was elevated with delicate crystal embroidery, silk shirts featured prints inspired by late 19th-century Colombian banknotes, and a standout brown satin sash adorned with a hand-applied silver crystal flower was draped low on the hips.
