Jen Psaki reports on the postponement of a Senate committee vote on the nomination of Donald Trump’s former criminal defense lawyer, Todd Blanche, to be attorney general. A vote was contingent on Blanche agreeing in writing to drop his pursuit of a settlement with the IRS to fund payouts to January 6 rioters. Trump was apparently not willing to allow Blanche to make that agreement.

President Trump yesterday signed an executive order seeking to reshape vaccine recommendations for children. On the current schedule, children are vaccinated against 18 diseases, but Trump’s plan would only vaccinate against 11. The president’s order also calls for the MMR vaccine — for measles, mumps and rubella — to be separated into three different single shots.
