GOP Senator appears to jab Trump after primary defeat

“You don’t claim the election was stolen.” Republican Senator Bill Cassidy appeared to criticize President Trump after losing the republican primary to retain his seat.  Cassidy was one of seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump in 2021 following the January 6th assault on the Capitol. He is the first elected U.S. senator to lose a primary in more than a decade.
