But now with a bipartisan border deal nearly done, some MAGA Republicans are now threatening to tank the deal after Trump expressed his disapproval. It’s creating a divide within the GOP itself, between lawmakers who say they want to deliver on what they promised to their constituents, and those on the hard-right who say they refuse to give President Joe Biden a political victory.

Michael Cohen — the most pivotal witness in the Manhattan district attorney’s hush money case against Donald Trump — took the stand Monday for what’s expected to be at least two days of testimony against his old boss in the first criminal trial of a former U.S. president. According to MSNBC legal analyst and former FBI general counsel Andrew Weissmann, the prosecution should be “very happy” with Cohen’s testimony saying, “When I’ve put on witnesses, I’d be very happy with how he’s doing.”
