Microsoft Rallies on Earnings as Meta Slides with AI in Focus | The Pulse 7/30/2026

Published

on

Strong growth at Microsoft has reassured investors that expensive bets on AI are starting to pay off. But Meta shares slid in premarket trading after the Facebook parent gave a revenue outlook that is seen as disappointing.

Investors dumped 30-year Treasury bonds, sending the yield to a 19-year high after the Fed kept interest rates unchanged for a seventh consecutive month. Investors have wagered that Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh was only delaying an inevitable rate hike.

The US has launched a fresh wave of strikes on Iran in response to an attack on American forces in Jordan, escalating a conflict that’s now spreading across the Middle East.
