As the National Republican Senatorial Committee is gearing up to spend big bucks this campaign season, at least two ads have already been pulled for being dishonest.

On Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, invoked the Fifth Amendment at a Senate hearing on the origins of Covid-19 and declined to answer more than 100 questions. Sen. Rand Paul, R-KY, dominated the hearing with attacks on Fauci’s handling of the pandemic. But Joe calls the moment “sheer political theater” and a “clown show,” calling out GOP senators for failing to acknowledge President Donald Trump’s mishandling of the public health crisis during his first term.
