NOLA police honors victims of truck attack before reopening Bourbon Street
Before reopening Bourbon Street on Thursday, New Orleans police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick sad local religious leaders and the city’s mayor paid respect to the victims of Wednesday’s attack with 14 roses and a prayer. “And then in our culture, here in New Orleans, is music, and the band came … and they played, ‘Fly Away,’ and with respect, we walked down this street to show honor and respect,” the superintendent said.
