The U.S. military said Wednesday that it conducted its 12th night of strikes on Iran as both sides continue to fight over control of the Strait of Hormuz. House Judiciary chair Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH, referred former special counsel Jack Smith to the Justice Department for a potential criminal investigation for lying to congress. Smith brought forward two federal criminal cases against President Donald Trump, including one accusing him of conspiring to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Jordan alleges Smith intentionally made false statements in a deposition to Congress last December.
