Secret Service officers say they shot and killed a man after he opened fire on them at a security checkpoint outside the White House. During the shooting, a bystander was also struck by gunfire. It remains unclear whether the bystander was struck by the suspect’s initial gunfire or during the subsequent exchange of gunfire.

A live look at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., which has turned into a complete mess. Trump “fixed” the pool using your taxpayer dollars to make it “beautiful…American flag blue.” After undergoing a $14 million renovation, the pool is now algae-filled with chunks of paint coming apart. President Trump said the pool will “probably” be drained again for repairs and, without evidence, blamed vandals for this mess.

Joe: Keir Starmer ‘never seemed to have a plan’

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, leader of the Labour Party, announced his resignation Monday morning in front of cameras outside of 10 Downing Street, London. The news comes after President Donald Trump declared over Truth Social Sunday that Starmer would resign and that he had “failed badly” on immigration and energy policy. Joe says Starmer “never seemed to have a plan on where he wanted to move Britain.”
