Devastating flash floods kill 3 in New Mexico, as more storms loom
Three people, including a 7-year-old boy, were killed after monsoon-driven floods swept through the southern New Mexico town of Ruidoso. Waters rose nearly 19 feet in minutes, submerging homes and cars. Meteorologist Michelle Grossman joins #MorningJoe with a warning: this could be “the story we’re looking at for many months,” as saturated ground, wildfire burn scars, and stalled storm systems increase the risk of flash floods across the Southwest and beyond.

The Justice Department escalated its attack on protesters this week, charging 15 people in Minnesota with conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers.
