Theyskens Theory Backstage ft Coco Rocha and James Kaliardos at Fall 2012 NYFW | FashionTV

http://www.FashionTV.com/videos NEW YORK – Top model Coco Rocha is backstage at Theyskens’ Theory show, where even the makeup artist is giving her a quick cosmetics touch up even though she’s not walking down the runway. She also poses with some models walking in the show.

The makeup artist James Kaliardos says the look for the Fall 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week is a look inspired by a girl. “The theory is this, the theory is you’re a young Parisian girl or you’re a cool American girl and you’re going to visit your grandmother to check on her and when you see that she’s ok, you take some things from her closet.” He refers to a cool couture jacket or her makeup. The makeup look is a coppery and shimmery eye that’s like a half-moon on the eye and a lilac lipstick that’s new and matte. A nude lipstick adds contour to the cheekbone. Curled eyelashes and mascara on the top as well as a little sparkle in the corner complete the look.

The hair look according to Odile Gilbert is very straight hair, just blow dried, not flat ironed, with a part and Kerastase used as a mousse. It’s finished off with hairspray. “The Theory girl is a girl from New York in the street. She’s cool, it’s easy,” she says. “It’s like a real thing.”

First Look – Rue Du Mail Spring/Summer 2013 | Paris Fashion Week | FashionTV

http://www.FashionTV.com/videos PARIS – FashionTV has an indepth look at Rue Du Mail during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013. Makeup Artist Uchiide says his team is focusing on the lips with very little makeup otherwise, though models have glowing skin. Eugene Soleiman’s team is creating a hairstyle that tailors to a collection he calls “pop but no color.” The hairstyle is pulled to the side in a nonchalant way that is still hipster cool, and targets the line. Model Nastya Kusakina opens the show, which starts in black and white dresses with big paillettes and sequins in plastic vinyl, according to Rue Du Mail designer Martine Sitbon. There are some big florals thrown in, and finally some of “pops of color” including blue vinyl, pink, burgundy, and mustard tones.

Appearances: Marique Schimmel, Marine Deleeuw, Mackenzie Drazan, Ginta Lapina, Jessica Stam, Lara Mullen, Kaitlin Aas, Liu Wen, Suvi Koponen, Zuzanna Bijoch, Julia Nobis, Nastya Kusakina, Sigrid Agren, Fei Fei Sun, Martine Sitbon, Maria Bradley, Melissa Tammerijn, Sara Blomqvist

PRIVATE POLICY: New York Court Culture & Heritage for S/S 27 | New York Fashion Week

Admire the intersection of sports culture and global identity – watch Private Policy spring/summer 2027 show on FashionTV!

At Daylight Studio during New York Fashion Week, Private Policy unveiled its S/S 2027 collection, “”Stitched, Not Blended.””

Rejecting the pressure to force cultural compromise, co-creative directors Haoran Li and Siying Qu explore how two distinct worlds can coexist in complete wholeness, using New York basketball culture and its massive Mandarin-speaking global fanbase as a powerful metaphor for youth living between cultures.

The collection brings this philosophy to life through sharp contrast: structured, court-inspired outerwear meets fluid organza layers, while deconstructed basketball jerseys, varsity-stripe ribbing, and tailored suits feature exposed, heavy-gauge contrast stitching that holds the garments together.

Nylon utility track pants, oversized bomber jackets, and convertible zip-off sleeves sit alongside refined Mandarin collar shirting and metallic hardware details.

Instead of blending elements into a uniform hybrid, Private Policy allows each fabric, silhouette, and cultural reference to retain its true identity, held in place by visible, resilient seams.

ALBERTA FERRETTI: Matisse Prints & Sun-Bleached Hues for S/S 27 | Milan Fashion Week

Enjoy dance-inspired silhouettes and effortless summer glamour at Alberta Ferretti’s spring/summer 2027 show on FashionTV!

For S/S 2027, Lorenzo Serafini guides Alberta Ferretti into a beautiful escape rooted in dance’s fluid grace and the languid nostalgia of end-of-summer days.

Inspired by the radical movement of 1920s dance icons Leon Bakst and George Balanchine, the collection frees the body from structural constraint through effortless, kinetic silhouettes.

Liquid-like floral prints, kimono jackets, and intimate slip dresses meet voluminous balloon trousers, blurring the boundary between private lounging and public allure.

A sun-bleached palette of teal, rust, and mustard yellow is tempered by soft recollections of lilac and pistachio, capturing the fleeting memory of endless warm days.

Blending Matisse-like artistic spontaneity with uninhibited sensuality, Serafini defines a modern femininity that moves instinctively on its own terms.
