Tech billionaire Bill Gates was questioned in a closed-door session on Capitol Hill for nearly six hours about his relationship with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Gates admitted that he made a “grave error in judgement” by not doing more to vet Epstein.

Police and elected officials in Northern Ireland are calling for calm amid protests in Belfast that stemmed from the arrest of a Sudanese asylum seeker who allegedly attacked another person with a knife.

After a dangerous few hours in which Israel and Iran traded waves of attacks, Israel has agreed, under U.S. pressure, to halt strikes against Iran.

Iran has also announced that its military operation against Israel is over but has warned of a more “severe” response if hostilities were to continue.

ABC News’ Tom Soufi Burridge has the latest from Jerusalem on the first exchanges between Israel and Iran since a ceasefire was announced on April 8.
