During his testimony on Capitol Hill, former Special Counsel Jack Smith stated, “I will not be intimidated,” when asked about President Trump’s repeated threats to Smith and his staff.

The top 10 things the President probably DOESN’T want us to talk about

Published

President Donald Trump has spent his second term putting people in powerful positions who will advance his agenda and stifling checks on his power. This week, he denied certain members of the media constitutionally protected access to the White House. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) reiterates the importance of keeping those checks and balances in place and continuing to talk about the important stories. “It’s almost as though he wants to get rid of the score board that’s keeping him accountable to the American people.”

Hayes: Trump isn’t smart enough to lie about his abortion ban

Published

“Earlier…I thought Donald Trump had enough political instinct to say that he was not pushing a national ban, that he would leave it to the states. Then if he won he would sign a national ban anyway. It now looks like he’s not smart enough to lie about it.”

‘Made promises he couldn’t deliver’: Why Trump, GOP risk LOSING supporters gained in 2024

Published

Washington Sun political columnist Matt Lewis joins Morning Joe to discuss his latest piece, “How Trump Blew Up His Coalition, Group by Group.” Lewis argues that the GOP appears likely to get “trounced” in the midterms, blaming President Donald Trump for going to “surprising — and in many cases, difficult to explain — lengths to infuriate his backers.” The Morning Joe panel discusses how Trump’s policies and actions on issue after issue seem to be chipping away at the support he gained in 2024 and how that could affect the GOP in November and beyond.
