Sen. Richard Blumenthal calls for Alito to recuse himself from cases involving Trump, citing the #SCOTUS’s “self-inflicted wounds” and its credibility issues. He challenges Chief Justice Roberts to take action and bar Justices #Alito and #Thomas from Trump cases due to their “very direct interest”:

“SCOTUS’s credibility is plummeting… And it’s due to self-inflicted wounds… Chief Justice Roberts has to take leadership for this court.”

President Donald Trump has spent his second term putting people in powerful positions who will advance his agenda and stifling checks on his power.
