Shots fired at WH Correspondents’ Dinner; Trump rushed off stage
President Donald Trump was swiftly escorted off stage by Secret Service after shots were fired at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC, on Saturday.
Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Cabinet members are all safe, sources said.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Cole Tomas Allen, a 31-year-old from California, three sources told CNN. He will be charged with using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon, US Attorney Jeanine Pirro said.

The House voted to censure New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman for improperly pulling a fire alarm in the House office building in September.
Members voted 214-191 in favor of censuring Rep. Bowman.
Bowman is the fifth House member censured in the 21st century, joining Reps. Charles Rangel, Paul Gosar, Adam Schiff and Rashida Tlaib. Bowman would become the 27th House member censured in U.S. history, according to the Office of the House Historian.
