Mary McCord and Andrew Weissmann break down the epic Jack Smith hearing before a Senate committee and specifically GOP Senator Eric Schmitt’s faceplant in real time. They talk about what this moment revealed about the entire process with Smith and why it felt like “watching “an SNL skit happen in real time.”

In this episode you will also see:
* Inside two Supreme Court cases that could dramatically alter the lives of hundred of thousands of people caught up in Trump’s mass deportation agenda and why Mary calls it all “a hot mess.”
* What Weissmann calls “ass backwards” about the Supreme Court and the Department of Justice.
* The Trump administration is blocked from firing court-appointed prosecutors after a Washington U.S. attorney takes them to court when he was fired immediately after being appointed to the role.
* Andrew and Mary have “reflections on the Reflecting Pool” disaster.
* The “Broadview Six” prosecutors face legal scrutiny over their conduct in the investigation.
