Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law requiring public universities and colleges to survey students, faculty, and staff about their beliefs and viewpoints, suggesting that the state could possibly intimidate educators through threats of budget cuts, according to reports. Joy Reid analyzes this development and more in this edition of ‘The Absolute Worst.’

Lol when all you run on is emotions. NBC is overtly liberal, so if you’re watching this as a liberal, you’re just stoking your confirmation bias. It’s all OP Ed and opinion at this point.

This is from a retired public school teacher. If i were a faculty memeber of a University in Florida, I would consider moving to another State to teach. Desantis is a right wing authoritarian trying to even control the academic freedom of speech. He only wants what he and his right winger cohorts to be believe taught in schools. Not a, academic atmosphere of a free flow of ideas. ~ Leave Florida Teachers, the Nazis are coming for you!

Hahahahahahaha oh, no. I don't know who this woman is, but she is clearly terrified by Governor Ron DeSantis. His star is rising faster than anything I've seen in my lifetime. With her tired, old "brown scare" and other meaningless and overused cheap shots, she offered absolutely no facts and frankly, her silly rant has no niche or genre. I don't know what that was. However, I do know that Governor Ron DeSantis is a brilliant, highly educated man, a decorated veteran, and is receiving national praise and recognition as the best Governor in the country right now, and perhaps ever. So go ahead, whoever you are, and pick on him in your middle-schooler style. You will soon be referring to him as Mr. President.

But this is true , real deal 1984 activity

Let them ruin their academics in Florida. Employers nationwide take note: Florida graduates might be less desirable hires in the future given the education system that produced them! Parents/prospective students: look for higher education elsewhere.

Anyone that wouldnt teach that communism is evil should be barred from teaching. Just on the basis of not being intelligent enough to teach any person any thing. Doesnt even have to be political. If someone cant tell that communism is evil, it's probably a clear indication they dont understand reality.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is telling lies and covering up the real death toll of the building collapses by not reporting the truth about not finding the bodies of the dead. Just as he cover-up the real COVID-19 death statistics, because it would make him look bad philologically. He doesn't care about the people of Florida or the families of the dead loved ones. He only cares about his political career. He is a Reprobate sick-minded human being.

It's no surprise that Joy Reid fans would be completely clueless on this issue, since she won't accurately portray anything from a conservative, but the only thing the survey will seek is whether Florida college students can express themselves truthfully without leftist fascists targeting them for 'Wrongthink,' as is the current norm. Any college that actually protects the right to free speech and free ideas will have nothing to fear from this, but yes there will be panicking professors left and right particularly in the garbage curriculas.

14 days to midterms: Tur interviews Talarico, Vivek’s ad gets BACKLASH | MS NOW Highlights

Published

With just two weeks to go until the midterm election, Texas Democratic Senate Candidate James Talarico spoke with Katy Tur in Fort Worth to share his final pitch to voters, what he would say to his Republican opponent Ken Paxton, and his goals for the Senate if he is elected. Jen Psaki shows how Republican candidates like Ken Paxton and Mike Rogers have resorted to dirty tricks for lack of substance to run on, with the stand out example being Vivek Ramaswamy, who released an ad featuring the estranged mother of his opponent Dr. Amy Acton. “That ad is truly one of the most despicable things I have seen in politics,” says Chris Hayes of the Vivek Ramaswamy-backed attack ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mother, who Acton hasn’t spoken to since 1978 after a childhood marked by sexual abuse. According to new reporting from ProPublica, Trump appointees at the Department of Homeland Security wanted the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to hack a voting machine and “report back the findings so they could be given to the White House,” shocking agency staffers. Nicolle Wallace is joined by Andy Mannix, bylined on this story, and Marc Elias for discussion on Deadline: White House. Co-host of MS NOW’s “The Weekend” Eugene Daniels, MS NOW Political Director Shawna Thomas and Investigative Reporter for the Austin American-Statesman Tony Plohetski join Katy Tur live from Austin, Texas to share their outlook for the Lone Star State in November.
