   Revenue due to tax cuts for 1 per cent of earners is the problem. Workers create the profits , pay up one per centers what you owe.

   Saying that it is not a revenue problem but a spending problem sounds more like a campaign slogan. Both spending and revenue collection are each one of two sides of the same coin. By taking revenue off the table MAGA Republicans are treating the Trump Tax Cuts for the Rich as sacrosanct that cannot be rolled back. By attaching so many unacceptable conditions / wish list to the vote to increase the debt ceiling guarantees that it is dead on arrival. The MAGA team at the W.H. are not negotiating in good faith but just spinning wheels to kill time, hoping that Biden gets the blame for default. Increasing Revenue increased the amount that can be spent and still balance the Budget and this is just common sense.

    I have to wonder if it's the feds who are "driving the inflation crisis" or if it's the gas companies driving it by raising their prices unnecessarily to increase already humungous quarterly profits. Those increased gas prices affect everybody all along the supply chain, from farmers driving their goods to market to truckers delivering shipments nationwide. The restaurant up the street from me had to close, because their suppliers had increased prices so much to cover their own gas costs that the restaurant couldn't pay expenses anymore. Don't blame inflation on Biden. He has no control over gas prices.

    Income taxes wont affect the economy like he is saying. They keep saying its like you gave your kid a credit card and they ran up the dept. you wouldnt increase the limit. But my dad sure as can be would make me earn more money to pay it off. We have a revenue problem. Cutting trillions in taxes has got us here. They need to compromise on their “no taxes” dogma. We need to get more revenue.

    Do away with corporate loopholes, like letting corporations sell bonds overseas then bring that money back to America to repurchase stock to enrich themselves because foreign profits are exempt from U.S. tax law. Thanks all you corrupt career politicians.

    Let me tell you about republicans NOT raising taxes….I live in Illinois The republican congress kept refusing to raise taxes that the REPUBLICAN gov had wanted to do ( the state was losing money hand over fist, and had debts)…We were heading to bankruptcy…same as the US is right now. We elected a new gov ( Pritzker) and he flat said we will raise them or we get new bills in place of it. So we ended up with new bills to pay instead of it, and the republicans whine some more….The answer is PAY YOUR BILLS AND INCREASE YOUR INCOME IF NEED BE. it is not the republican way if deny, blame, excuse, and never accept responsibility
