   I couldn't imagine a 56-year-old playing the part of Ariel, but credit where due, they did a good job of making her look much younger, and her voice works for the part. Little kids won't notice her age.

    Racism, judging the other based upon the colour of your skin, is deplorable. We all came from the same common ancestors. We are all the same species. There is no races in the human species. We are all the same independently of our skin colour or how we look. This, doesn't mean that, there shouldn't be positive discrimination in US, Brasil or some African countries just to say a few. But we all had the same mother, Eve, about 150.000 years ago in Southern Africa….

    As a little girl growing up in SE Asia watching Disney movies with lovely white ladies in the main characters, it has never ever bothered me that the princess or prince characters were white. It really, really doesn't and not a big deal. It was the morale in each story that bewitches me far, far, far more than anything else. True, in re-makes of each story, perhaps it might be nice to have people of different races represented. However, it wouldn't bother me if it isn't. In this instance, I think the racist claim is over-rated. People of color like myself can create our own stories and fantasies, and not insist on being included in traditional western story characters. It is unrealistic because it wasn't our original story. The morale of each story can be re-created or found in local ordinary heroes or heroines lives. Let's create it from those instead and made them not just ours, but everyone (little girls, ittle boys)' own.
